Offline | On the G-tech it knocked 1/2 a sec of the 0-100 which i was running consistant 6.7sec so its now consistant 6.2... have not tried it with the pulley yet... as ive been spinning to much.. but the 1/4 time should be good.. will Post some Wakefield track times early next week... Using Dorian track transponder timing so its going to be 100% accurate. |

Offline | Hi Giles, I can't make it to the Wakefield meet, as I am participating in the Rally that weekend However, the following weekend (Sunday 7th) the BMW club has a supersprint at Wakefield Provided my car escapes intact from the rally, I'll be there I'd love to compare times with your Wakefield meet Even better, it would be great to try and catch up Cheers Robbo Mods: GO MADDIE and SPARKY! |

Offline | I thought Robbo and that were using the same cooler off the CVT's? Apparently all the mounts and fix points are still there in the S - Global Moderator - MY BLOG - Global Procrastinator - ![]() ... Buying the 8C for its dynamic abilities is like buying a porn film for its plot ... |

Offline | Gennex utilise the same CVT transmission cooler on their cars, but mount it differently. Peak quote $1000 to have one modified and installed like Trelo's. Who's on First.... ![]() |

Offline | I have talked to many of the Peak guys and seen many others in the USA that have converted the CVT Transmission oil cooler to an engine oil cooler, But Allas i went out and bought something different about 12 months ago before i started seeing the available kits... but hey thats nothing out of the ordinary for me. All i have to do is make up some mounting brackets to the underneath of the Alloy section of the front bumper so its not touching the Aircon condensor. And at the same time not change the Crash characteristics by drilling into the Alloy.. so im making up some fance clamps. Im hoping by getting this down into the High preasure airflow area below the licence plate I should get some serious colder air than behind the slotted grill up the top. But hey MR DYI Giles is at it again!!! hehehehehe. I have sited where to fit it... just not how yet. http://www.mini2.com/gallery/personal/CanberraCooperS/45864_thumb.jpg[/img] And Todd... Do you ever sleep?? whats this 3am reply business??? ehehehe ![]() |

Offline | Man that is not a blow off valve...its the BYPASS Valve (thats how they say it on the site... but its just your boost regulator, All they have done is put on an adjustable regulator so you can set higher boost rather than it being BYPASSED. This will not make and WOOSH or any other sort of noise. Its just designed to hold the boost rather than regulating it to prevent over boosting. All i can say is DANGER WILL ROBINSON DANGER!!!!! 1.8Bar of boost. Thats like 26.10PSI... Unless your running pure race fuel there is no way your can run boost like that on even 100 octane unleaded. I used to run 1.9bar in my rally car prior to turbo restrictors, but i was running pure 105octane Elf racing fuel. It was bordering on Pinging then! |
