He was a local business man who owned pubs and restaurants and put a lot of time and effort into motoring activities. He died a few years ago and they have run this event every year since then.

I might find out more on Sunday.

If I was Maurice Brockwell, I would be very happy knowing that in my death, people hold a memorial run to commemorate my life

IF I was in Perth, I would be more than happy to come along.

Talking

What a fabulous turn out of cars today for this run.

Only 3 MINIs, lots of Minis, other cars from E-Types, Ferraris, plenty of Rolls Royces, Bentleys, Cadillacs the odd 2CV, simply amazing.

A good route although we got caught up with slower traffic in the twisties but eventually saw them all off.

The Motor Museum at Whiteman Park was a revelation, great collection, DeLorean, Maserati, Jaguars, Monaro, Bristol, and a 323Kmh truck powered by a jet engine from a phantom.

A few pics of some of the cars.

Why do these things happen just before I log on and find out about them?

No matter anyways, was up at 0430 h for the Great Bike Ride (working, not riding )

Hope to catch the next one

JB

Yes, all those cyclists made getting in and out of South Perth difficult
