Offline | I'll have to see about the name change, I'll be confusing myself then... She should be in the first week in Dec then the plan is to get black slimline plates and also tinting, I thought it would be especially nice given that I've got the anthracite headling as well ![]() |

| Still kickin' along | Hey ScottyF...(And all the other Aussie Mini2'ers!!) Like you I've been a long-time reader, but this is my first time posting. I ordered a DS/B MCS in August from Philip Mini Garage too . My stinkin' commodore is driving me crazy!!! January seems so far away! (The August orders are supposed to be built some-time this month). Did the Black/Black demo car help you make up your mind about colour? I was wondering, how have you found your service at Philip? I haven't heard a peep from them since I placed my order. I've been trying to get hold of an order number or, when the car is finally built, for them to pass a VIN on to me so I can track the car...they haven't been very helpful on that front. Anyway...I feel your joy/pain! - The Joy of contemplating how I can spend my hard earned money on goodies for my mini and fantisising about finally driving my own! ..And the pain of driving what feels like an ocean-liner, knowing that there's mini's out there that I could be driving instead....!! Oh yeah, my order was - DS/B MCS Cordoba Beige, phone prep, Chili pack... The big day feels so close, but soooooo far!! ...Tit |

| Whatev. | Welcome guys. Mini2 made the wait a little more bearable for me. I had a blast tracking my car and driving everyone around me nuts telling them where in the world it was everyday. In other news, according to the build card that I snatched when my MINI was delivered to the dealer my car was built exactly 12 months ago. That time has flown ![]() ![]() |

| Still kickin' along | Thanks Fellas, Mini2 has been good but it's also been a tease because I know you're all enjoying your wonderful driving machines and some of us are still waiting patiently for ours! Yeah...I ordered the car in August and I went into the dealer two weeks ago and all they could tell me was that my car would be being built 'sometime in November' and nothing else. Not too helpful considering the service some other Aussie customers seem to have received. Oh well...not long now! Another dissapointment (which may interest people still waiting for their cars) is that I ordered the phone prep kit partially because I wanted a shark fin aerial and not a bee-sting. However, now they have totally taken away the shark fin because of 'poor radio reception' from the window-mounted aerials that are used when shark fins are fitted. So now, everyone gets a bee-sting but if you have a phone prep, there will be a big ugly bulbus blob at the base of the bee-sting! I saw one and it wasn't cool at all...!Never-the-less - this will be a small gripe on what I'm sure will be a wonderful car! |

| Boy who made the wolf cry | Im pretty sure everyone gets the 'beesting' arial with the big chunck at the bottom these days... I dont mind it, personally I really think the original 'beesting' went very well with the car. It suited the historical nature, not looking like a hightech BMW too much. You can buy a shortened 'beesting' from ALTA from memory www.altaminiperformance.com (As well as alot of other great stuff )Having a Nov 03 car myself, expect to see it in late Jan/early feb... | Still kickin' along | Cheers! That at least looks a bit better! That looks like a website that's going to hurt my wallet! Personally, I'm not a fan of the 'radio-controlled car' look - but the beesting is a minor thing, considering the rest of the car is so great! |
