U did a great job leading was having an absolute ball following you quickly in the red mini always easier when someone is in front setting the pace and showing the way

Mini7,
That piece of road yesterday, is a fairly difficult road to drive. The roads are very narrow and you cannot see into the corner more than a car length. (Try leading and having a red mini catching quickly )

The MINI driver training is great fun and its 1/2 day for $385. Its a bit expensive for everyone to do, but we all had a ball.

Cheers

Is there a preferred or standard jolly rodger/skull and cross bones image (jpeg/gif/bmp whatever) that is used for us Aussie pirates ?? I ask because I would like to incorprate the Pirates emblem into the video footage when i edit it up so if anyone can email me the file that would be very cool

Cheers

It certainly is easier to follow and have the pace set for you.

I'll check out the mini driver training, sounds like just the ticket.

Although I found the road a bit tricky I never stopped smiling even if I did go a bit wide once or twice and having fun is what its all about. Considering that 4 weeks ago I was driving a Diesel powered Land Rover I reckon I can only improve

What sort of walkie talkie do you use - any model preferences, best places to buy, etc?

Thanks,

James

IMO the Uniden's are great. I have this one http://uniden.com.au/v3/FRAME_PROD.HTM it's $169, but if you have a look on the website these ones are great as well http://uniden.com.au/v3/FRAME_PROD.HTM for only $99. Definately check them out from D i c k Smith.

Hope that helps

Cheers

As long as it is UHF (I assume you guys are running UHF) any set should do the trick for you and **** Smith powerhouses usually have good prices on various hand helds

If you look in my signature the little pirate symbol is the one we use for the stickers.

I need a sticker too... I had a few but one is on the cobra and the other was on my number plate surround which sits in a ditch somewhere on the hurstbridge/kinglake road

Maybe if everything goes well - I can pick up some more at Byron

No dramas, i'll get my sticker man to make up some more before Byron at least, so I can hand them out next run.

I noticed something later too.... Harry Morant, GOGADGET, GO COOPS and robbo mcs - I accidentally dated your receipts 16 January 2004

Let me know if you need another for tax purposes and I will sort it.

Cheers,

poki

Hi Poki,

Thanks for taking on all the responsibility of collecting, organising and documenting the donations, you are a champion To Poki and Gadget, thanks for organising the day BTW I loved the photo of the "Pirates Treasure Chest" Nice touch

Poki, I can live with the wrong date on my receipt If I ever get audited by the tax office, I don't think they will be too concerned about it

Cheers

Robbo
