Offline | NSW MINI'S Hunter Valley Run 16th January MINI'S To The Hunter Valley Mr and Mrs Buttonit and their friend James are in Sydney from the MINI2 UK. I have promised them a big MINI day in the country. I thought this a great opputunity for ALL NSW MINI2ers to show some good old hospitality. So the plan is to meet at Pie In The Sky Cowan at 8.30 am for coffe and briefing. Depart PITS at 9.15 for the hunter valley and lunch. Returning to Sydney by 5.00pm. More details to follow. As this day is also our NATIONAL DAY OF MOURNING for the victims of the Asian Tsunami, I suggest we run black ribbon from our MINI's as a mark of respect. I will bring the ribbon on the day. We will hold a 1 minutes silence at 2pm EST to coincide with our MINI2 friends in WA's 1 minutes silence at 11am to remember the Tsunami victims. There will be an oppotunity at this point to make a donation if you wish to the Red Cross which we will collect and bank on your behalf. I will organise to pick up our Guests of Honor from their Hotel in Sydney along with two other MINI's, if you are leaving from around the CBD I still need one more MINI for this role. If you are interested in attending or would like more information, please register that interest on this thread. Hope to see you ALL on this run. Regards GoGadget. Offline | That's a great idea Al. Might I suggest you pass the hat around as well and throw whatever you collect towards your local Red Cross. Even if you get $20 it's a help. Have a great day guys, I'm sure the ButtonIt crew will be well looked after by the Aussies. ![]() |

![]() MCSJCW | I'm sure the coasties will be in on this one. I'll talk to Kerrie & Chris tomorrow night and start letting everyone know..... I'm sure we could pass the pirate treasure chest around and get some funds raised ! edit: maybe suggested the Irish pub at Polkibin where we went for lunch that last time... good food ! ![]() - Blacky - 2003 MCS JCW Trouble Maker |

Offline | Thanks for the positive imput Liam. I discussed the donation idea with one of the Mods before posting, and we both felt that a lot of MINI2er have perhaps donated already. However I am more that happy to collect donations and see them banked into the Red Cross, for this I will need a volunteer to assist (Poki ?). ![]() GETTING ALL RALLYED UP and a little bit sideways |

Offline | Can a Newbie come along too? I only picked up my HB/HB/HB MCS two weeks ago and need to put some K's on it so I'd like to come along and join in if that's OK? I love the MCS so far and this will be the first time I even get it onto the highway (been busy moving house) so I'm a real newbie. I'm ashamed to say I haven't even got the MCS over 100Km/h yet but heh I'm having so much fun re-discovering the mini after driving a diesel LR Discovery who cares. I'll be dragging the better half along too - she's only six months pregnant so I'm sure she'll be more than happy whizzing around the country side for a day!!! Look forward to hearing more of the details soon ![]() |
