Following many months of waiting I got a call from my dealer today saying I could collect my MCSC. A very pleasant surprise as I believe the release date isn't until tomorrow.

The dealership had four cabrios, there were two coopers (red & orange) and a cool blue S.

Anyway, I'd just like to say hi to all. I've posted some photos in my gallery.

One very excited new owner.

I drove a MCSC last week and loved it. Order placed in December for April delivery so a bit of a wait for me.

Looking forward to some pictures and your comments.

ENJOY, you still have many good months of open air driving - I envy you but am very happy for you.

I actually also heard of one spotted in Melbourne.

Thanks for the compliments, I've been hanging out for a mini ever since the new mini was released ( I had a cooper back in 1991). When the cabrio was announced it gave me a chance to pursuade my fiance, et viola.

I was very nervous about the colour until today.

I too love the rubber neckers - classic shot

I have ordered the chrome exterior package and am not sure whether that's what you have.

The lower grille look brilliant.

I have Hyper Blue on order (no stripes and sadly a reflection of my conservative nature). I must say that the yellow with the black stipes reaaly does work. Having seen the photo I reckon the yelllow would look too stark without the trimming.

Now get a very good couple of coats of polish on that thing before the crap starts to eat that shine away!

I don't blame you for being nervous about the yellow. I love yellow cars but wouldn't have had the guts to go for one....but I reckon it's the bee's knees...actually looks a bit like a bumble bee!

I love it mate and the yellow interior is super. Great choice...

Congratulations that looks ace. I originally wanted yellow and got talked out of it. It really looks the goods in the cabrio. You are probably the first yellow one - I am surprised it is not more popular.

I heard from a very dissapointed coastie today. They supposed to pick up their new cabrio tomorrow (has basically had one on order since they were announced) but apparently it isn't ready.

I'm about to change jobs and there's a chance I may have to hand back the car with the lease arrangements I've got, in which case I'll most likely order an '05 or a cab.

only about a 5% chance of that though
