There is an open day at Wakefield this Wednesday (Australia Day) anyone fancy a drive to meet up? I probably won't take to the track, but if there's enough people coming along it could still be a good day.

I know Giles (CanberraCooperS) is planning on hitting the track, anyone else?

Canberra’s forecast at this stage states dry/cloudy and 29 for Wednesday. This isn’t Goulburn obviously but is probably pretty indicative of what the weather should be like.

Weather Pending.... so if its grotty im not going but if its not raining ill be there.

Just enough tread on the slicks for one last blast.

latest weather is looking pretty good... not to hot.. 24 degrees so it should be a good one

What tyres are you buying ? i am looking at buying some semi slicks for drive days.

just some falken RT 215 205/50/16 or 215/45/16 at about $180 to $200 each

I rang the track and they changed it to Bikes ONLY!!!!

SO i guess its a no go!!!!

Looks like they had no interest from Cars.. so if they get a large number of Bikes Pre-Booking they will close it to Bikes only.

They have done the same to the Bikes when to many cars go... etc

So i spose it goes both ways

I did the open speed day on the 21st with some guys from work - great fun. Its amazing how quick many of the cars go back to the pits after only five or so laps due to brake fade. An excellent excuse for a JCW brake upgrade though.

As an aside - there seems to be a heap of grasshoppers at Wakefield at the moment - the front of my car took on a very distinct bug-guts green shade
