Offline | Liam, if only your car hadn't been off the road for all those weeks because of that unfortunate incident with the roo, you might have been able to clock up an extra 5550 km's for your birthday So did that picture require another emergency stop and, if so, how big was the pileup that you almost caused? ![]() Jan 06 MCS Checkmate |

Offline | Given that we'll be keeoing the car for a few years yet and we're not leasing the car I'd prefer to have only done about 15,000kms. I don't feel a need to prove my manhood by the number of kilometres I drive. ![]() That would have been pretty nifty, and probably not that far off the mark either. ![]() You didn't see it on the news? ![]() |

Offline | Would be good to see you guys again. If you can make it, we're congregating at the airport at around 10:30am to meet and greet the MINI2 Queenslanders before they head off to the snow on Sunday. Dinner is booked for Saturday night too and you and Chrissy are most welcome, if your plans permit. All the best for your friend too. |

| -Mr T- | By the time I got to Wakefield the other car had gone home!! I did about twenty minutes or so of 'fairly' hard laps pushing the tyres to the limit.. About five minutes of that was with 'traction' on and the rest off.. Noice! I'd like to drive a non LSD car to see the difference as you can feel the wheels 'clawing' their way as you power out of corners... I love this car.. It was weird cos the whole time I felt like a naughty boy revving the car and throwing it through corners screeching the tyres etc etc.. ! I've noticed since the last time I was on the track that the gear change is much smoother too.. The brake pedal felt a touch spongy towards the end so I did about six laps with little brakes which was also fun.. I love driving this car.. I took a few more photos today. I have about a thousand now I reckon...maybe more ![]() ![]() |

Offline | Good on you Mick, next time you have a day like this can you give me about 24hrs notice. Then we can swap drives and you can feel the non-LSD and the slowness off the line of the 04s. ![]() |

Offline | I think there is an opening here for a wee knock at the oracle and his naming convention of his cars. Although he has adopted Buster B - really it's not too far removed from B1 & B2. Are you thinking what I'm thinking B1? I certainly am B2! ![]() |

Offline | Ha ha ha B2, good one I found the "I'm not using drugs so I might as well spend my money on something enjoyable" excuse worked quite well. The trick is to break it to them over an extended period so they have time to get used to the idea. When I first laid the seeds of the idea about 6 or 7 months back Dad was quite hostile to the idea and mum thought I was stupid. Over the months they gradually came around and now they don't seem to mind at all. Listen to me, I sound like I'm a 15 year old trying to justify getting a nose ring! Next time it will be "pi ss off, you can't tell me what to do, I'm a grown man and I can do what I like" ![]() Jan 06 MCS Checkmate |
