Yes folks, that's correct. I have one more sleep, then a long day of meetings and associated drudgery before I take my trusty Mazda on its last drive to Woden to collect my CR/W MCS (when to many acronyms are not enough) and head out for the first, initial, virgin, inaugural familiarisation drive (when to many tautologies are not enough) by the glow of my xenon headlights.......to the sound of my HK ICE (damn, more acronyms). I think this should be an AFZ (acronym free zone).

I have a slave who will recover the Mazda and attend, as necessary, at my beck and call.

Make sure you have a good look over the car before you drive out for any obvious 'things' - I only noticed a small diviot in my leather passenger seat the following day and assumed one of the kids had done it - after two years there's still only that one small mark despite the kids been in the car every day - maybe they were innocent after all and it came that way or one of the mechanics had a pointy tool in his pocket

Congratulations!!

Like Harry M Said, inspect it thoroughly....turn EVERYTHING on and off....inspect the leather, paint, panels, wheels etc etc...drive it around the block with the dealer before you take it.....make sure it's 110% how you want it...ask how to use things if you don't know...

....because you deserve nothing less than a PERFECT delivery....

Where's the piccies. I suppose she's out driving! I've got a work related trip to Rolfe's tomorrow so I'll annoy the boys and check out their current stock.. Only three months to go..

As I type there are a few pics going into my personal gallery.

It's a beauty!! I am stoked. It is a dream to drive.

Of some interest will be the photo of the two tone red bonnet and scoop combination! Yes folks, I think I have a world first, and thus unique combination of colours on a Mini. The matching scoop was allegedly on the boat, but must have disembarked somewhere else, or the crew of the Torrens are back in Europe somewhere arguing about a weird shaped piece of plastic and where to throw it so it won't be found. Who knows???

The gents at the shop were most apologetic, and have asked us to bring it back on Monday, when they will lend me a silver MCS while mine attends the local approved paint shop!!

As soon as the pics are uploaded I am going to let the better half have another small drive.

The delivery process was quite painless and very detailed.

Do all Canberra deliveries score the bottle of champagne??

Don't forget the viewing on Saturday at Jem Cafe, Narrabundahhh

Yup....we got the bottle with ours.
WARNING!!!!! bottle is for drinking, NOT for smashing over the "hull"

Maybe the scoop looks too good to replace???

It was 4.30 when we got there and we were pre occupied, so much so that the yard staff moved the old car and locked and then misplaced the keys for a while.

I thought the paints had mixing codes, so it was impossible to get the wrong tones....wierd....
