Offline | Yeah, my Roo ended up in the middle of the road too, and some eedjit drove straight over the top of it before I could get it off the road. Sounded bloody awful too.Stumpmeister might know what that piece of metal is, if not I'm sure the Oracle will ... aka AndrewH. ![]() ![]() |

Offline | I think it's probably just there to improve torsional rigidity. It looks like it's just stamped steel so shouldn't be to expensive to replace (in theory ). If you discover that it is expensive, just stick it in the BBQ for a couple of hours and bang it straight with a hammer ![]() Jan 06 MCS Checkmate |

Offline | Hey Simon, Yep that little black bracket is the bracket that holds the exhaust system. It has 2 hooks with a rubber grommet on each. Each of the grommets then holds onto hooks on the exhast system. If it is bent I could'nt see it causing any problems except perhaps if you fit an after market system where it may foul on the different design in some way. But I doubt it. Cheers. ![]() |

Offline | Alright. Here's the plan for the Milltek fitting party. Meet at Carlo's for a nourishing breakfast on Saturday morning at around 0930-1000. Finish brekky and then head out to my mates place aiming to be there at 1200 or earlier. Andrew and Liam - bring plenty warm jacket for it will be perishingly cold out there. Anyone who would like to join us for brekky is most welcome, let me know so I can organise a booking. Cheers. ![]() |

Offline | Thanks Stump, I tried lookin though I couldnt get under the car. I ended up taking it Rolfe yesterday to hoist it up, and they confirmed there was no other damage and that it shouldn't matter if the bracket is bent. The exhaust hasn't moved at all as a result, so I'm gald I got out of that one $$$ free. On another matter I was driving home once again and I noticed that the car started pulling to the right alot. So I took it into Discount Tyre Service and got them to do a wheel alignment and fair enough the whole right side was out. I haven't hit any mad pot holes lately and the roo didn't actually go under the wheels, so i'm suprised as to why it would be out so much. The guy at Discount was saying that Dealers do jack all when prepairing a car for delivery other than wash it! So after 6000km's on the clock I find out that my MCS probably didn't have an alignment after getting off the boat! Bloody dealers! Simon Simon - 12/05 MCS |

| - Little Miss Sunshine - | I'll do the breakfast thing but not the freezing under the car thing, if that is okay. Remember Sat is forecast to start at -5 and not get much better. Kyle will be slaving away over computers and stuff in downtown Perth so he won't be joining us. M ![]() |

Offline | So I hope they hosed all the roo guts out cause that might get a bit smelly after a while It's always a good idea to confirm that a wheel alignment will be done as part of the pre delivery cause my understanding is that, like you said, it's generally not done and it's hit and miss whether it is right when all the stuff is installed on the production line. Offline | Hopefully the roo blood got washed off with the rain/snow yesterday, there wasn't much, mainly on the exhuast cover near the exhaust tip. I'll be keeping these experiances in mind the next time I buy new! Simon Simon - 12/05 MCS |
