Offline | News from our local purveyor of new and used MINI vehicles, and parts, and accessories: Rob tells us they are moving the MINI franchise across the road to it's own yard and showroom. Waiting approval for banners and waiting for the painters. Should move on, or about, 19th. The number plate protectors that we ordered on the day the TUX wagon was delivered have finally arrived in stock. The wrong ones. We asked for one standard and one ACT slimline. What arrived was for NSW plates. What about you Liam? How did you go? Also Salesman Michael is returning to the big choke up the Hume. We didn't speak to him, as he was busy. Then it was on to the parts department. No we couldn't see an accessories book in the first instance, but yes they have the front mudflaps in stock, but no the printer is broken so the instructions were not availabe, and yes we can have the net thing for the boot, but no there isn't one in stock and yes we have to pay in full at time of order and no , it wasn't a great retail experience.I have easily found the fitting instructions for the mudflaps on MINI2.com. I have to drill! For those in warmer climes, it is cold and gusty here with occasional showers and forecast temperatures of 5 deg to a top of 9 degrees. Day trip to the snow tomorrow.. should be interesting. Kyle |

Offline | It's fairly easy to do - the drilling is a lot less painful than it sounds. Hardest part is jacking the car up (if you were never supplied with a jack that is )Jan 06 MCS Checkmate |

Offline | I forgot to check for the number plate covers today Kyle, but I'm guessing if we ordered the same thing on the same day that I'll probably have similar results to you. Hey, I hope we get invites to the grand opening of the new MINI showroom! ![]() ![]() |

Offline | A couple of months ago I learnt what it was like to take the MINI on a skidpan, well today I discovered all about taking the Subie onto a mudpan! I've got some more pics to download off my phone too. But this is what happens when you keep going on Brindabella Rd! ![]() ![]() http://27772.smugmug.com/gallery/646706 |

Offline | Yep, that'd do it - using a screw instead of drilling that is. The only reason I had to take the tyres off was because there was not enough room to fit the cordless drill under the wheel arch.Jan 06 MCS Checkmate |
