Offline | One of my colleagues (Graham with the XR6 Turbo) has just purchased a Gtech pro performance metre (for working out 0-60mph, 1/4 mile runs, cornering G's, 60-0 breaking distances and horsepower). He said that I could borrow it ummmmmm that could be fun ![]() Jan 06 MCS Checkmate |

Offline | Good stuff, but from what I've heard those things are pretty inaccurate. But if anyone can get it working properly the Oracle can. Let me know if you need an assistant. ![]() ![]() |

Offline | The user manual says accuracy to +/- 1/10th of a second (or +/- 1 mph for 1/4 mile speed or +/- 2/100ths of a G for G's) which is pretty good in my book And yep, I’ll try to T up a time maybe the weekend after next?? That’s as long as you don’t mind hanging around with someone driving a Ford ![]() Jan 06 MCS Checkmate |

Offline | Mr T (in icy Canada), Remember the damp carpark at Mt Selwyn on the Tumut run? I was there again, and it was covered in handbrake assist (ice)! See: http://dogandmini.smugmug.com/gallery/657704/2/28289283 |

| -Mr T- | I Need A Digital Clock One minor dislike of our MINI is the clock.. As you can see in the pic it's below the odometer on the tacho... As I become more 'mature' I find that I have trouble focussing on things close. It is very difficult at times to see the clock clearly. SO.... I have been looking for an aftermarket digit clock that would look okay in the MINI. There is a place to stick one near the front map reading lights..which is where it is on previous models. I haven't found a suitable one yet. If any of you guys see one that might suit in your travels could you let me know please.. Tux ![]() |

| Whatev. | It is funny how you get used to things. When cookie monster was off the road I always found myself looking at the roof for the clock. It now feels wrong to have it anyplace else. Is a real pity that they changed it. Have you looked into having it retro fitted? (The cost would probably be prohibitive but it cant hurt to find out) ![]() |

| -Mr T- | I think MINI would charge the obligatory $400 plus 'whatever it's worth' price unfortunately. Even if they'd have put the clock in the radio it would've been better... or better still if they'd have put the tacho on the bonnet about three feet away I'd be able to read it.. ![]() ![]() |

Offline | I'm with poki, I get in the Outback and even though the clock is right in front of my eyes as part of the tacho I can never find the bloody clock! It's not in the roof, it's not in the radio, where the hell is it ... oh yeah, right in front of me. ![]() |
