| Still kickin' along | It seems that quite a few Canberran mini drivers are popping up...What does everyone think of getting together sometime soon...? My suggestion: Next Saturday (5 Feb) We could all gather somewhere in the early afternoon, go grab a brew and go for a fang around some lovely Canberra roads? (any route suggestions, my 'experienced' mini driver friends?)...if we time it right, we could all go grab an early dinner in Manuka or Kingston or somewhere.... Suggestions? Thoughts? Oh yeah....you don't have to be from Canberra....give us a yell if you're interested.... If there is enough interest in a meal....I'll gather names and make a booking... Offline | Yep, I'm definitely up for this. Drive first, eat second. ![]() It’s hard to go past the old Brindabella Road route if you ask me. Click HERE and go to A3. ![]() Cheers Liam |

Offline | Re a possible route - Apollo road off the Tharwa - Naas road, possibly after doing the Brindabella route?? Drove it again today and although it is short, it has huge grin factor. I agree with Liam's previous comments about the road south from Naas to where the seal meets the dirt. I drove this too today and my memory of it did not match the reality - more of a quiet Sunday drive type road. Driving out to Apollo Road may be problematic with dinner and kangaroos though. Talk about a contrast in weather between here and Naas. It was poring down and 18 degrees up there but fine, clear and 35 degrees in Canberra. Jan 06 MCS Checkmate |

Offline | and As one of my friends says to her kids - first time funny, second time not, third time smack. Speaking of bugs, I can't understand why the ones we have in plague proportions around here at the moment are called wingless grasshoppers when they seem to have wings and fly - even though they don't fly all that far. My Dad was telling me all about them the other day along with how the male wingless grasshopper is about half the size of the female. You can apparently see this most clearly whey they are copulating - thanks Dad, really needed to know that. ![]() Jan 06 MCS Checkmate |

| Still kickin' along | Ok....as I'm going to be away for the next two days...I'll try to get some of this sorted now.... How's meeting at the carillion carpark at 3pm sound? We can swing by somewhere 'convoy friendly' for a brew and then down northborne and onto one of the previously mentioned routes...then back out to [insert resteraunt suggestions here] for dinner.... So far there's only 4 of us: Liam AndrewH CanberraCooperS Tit (any of you bringing extras, for the resteraunt booking?) C'mon everyone....I know there's more Canberran's out there! I'll pop back on the forums on Tuesday night.... ...hope y'all having a great weekend! |
