You've got no roof, so you don't have any rear windows.

Would think you've only gone one.

Budget! I do have rear windows, they're just not fixed. Hence the reason the itty bitty aerial performs better on the tintop

There you go, you learn something new everyday

Given that the 2 additional aerials (for FM IIRC) in hard top Minis are integrated into the heater elements in the rear hatch glass and the cab also has heater elements in its rear glass, I would think there is a good chance that the cabs do indeed have 3 aerials You might like to try putting your roof up next time you want to get better reception

edit: or do the cabs have the heater elements in the glass??

edit, edit: Upon further inspection, yes they do

If I had to guess, I’d say yes, you have at least 2 if not 3 like the hard tops. Go home tonight and pull apart your canvas top and see what wires are connected to the rear glass then let us know tomorrow

but.. shouldn't you know this! Hmmm well as I am not in the "other" thread

I doesnt worry me that much, not enough to warrant rooting around in the soft top of death there are wires, cables, hydraulic pumps and gizmos galore that make that thing work.

Hey Wils,

careful with the DBA/EBC combination. I have heard a couple of bad things about that mix of pads and rotors and also came across this

however it is usually that you hear the bad stuff, and not always the good.

Don't really think it's the DBA rotors causing all those problems. If you dig deep enough, you'll find EBC is the culprit. Like most things coming outta the UK, quality control is an unknown quantity - one batch of pads can be tip top but the next lot is best going to the tip.....

Hmm, it is possible that they do have the same as the hardtop, I'd have thought they'd have omitted the ariel side of it as its an area that isn't meant to be exposed much, therefore negating any benifit from it (and saving an extra cost - especially when the cable would have to be run longer to connect with the front antenna... what I'm getting at is that its a lot of engineering for something that isn't designed to be exposed (therefore effective) that often.
