Offline | Thank God thats over then. Lets all take a chill pill and not get sidetracked tit for tat. Andrew sounds passionate and convincing, but lets remember that if someone says something, even if it is out of ignorance, that they are not personally having a go at anyone. Its their opinion, thats all. No need for name calling like calling someone stupid. I believe that in this forum its not the right thing to do. Offline | Pulley Upgrade Finally plucked up the courage and installed that reduced pulley that's been sitting on my study shelf for the last six months. Here's the list of parts installed: 1. Alta Boost Couplers; 2. NGK BKR7EIX iridium plugs; 3. Alta V2 -15% pulley; 4. JCW pulley belt; 5. GTT Tensioner Limit Stop. Car is now making somewhere between 15.5 and 16 PSI of boost . |

Offline | Thanks Steve, Wasn't all smooth sailing, stripped my $22.00 supercheap auto crow foot puller trying to get the OEM pulley off. Had to fork out $92.00 for a super dooper heat treated jobby - but she worked a treat! Cheers Darrin |

Offline | More bling! Oooh, I see lots of expensive little JCW badges under there. I only have two - one on each of the front floor mats. ![]() Must post pics soon of my saddle bag (genuine MINI) and leather door pull covers (Moss Mini). And I have a new clutch too, so just past 150km and no problems. Let's hope I get past the magical 300km barrier... ![]() Feb 02 R50 |

Offline | I just fitted some Hawk HPS Brake Pads to my JCW calipers and standard rears. Took them out to bed them in and they feel pretty good. Just need a few more k's on then for them to fully bed in. |

Offline | Wow, they're chunky! Look close to double the diameter of my Spax! I'd ditch the DBA Longlife Gold. A good disc, no doubt, but I found they put too much heat into the pads and I had heaps of problems with cracking due to the cross drilling. The DBA slotted look nice but I haven't tried them yet. ![]() Feb 02 R50 |
