I was thinking of getting one of the new JCW kits for my cooper.
There's a link for them on the mini.com.au page.

Perhaps the cooper sound kit, and maybe the jcw sports suspension ( i should be able to keep up with you guys on the next run then)
Would it be worth it (not sure on cost) or would it just make me a ricer?

A JCW on a cooper, im interested, i have a cooper also, no mods under the hood or suspension wise.

Peak Performace at Parramatta may be able do some work & get the same performace with out spendng what ever the JCW is worth.....im guessing the JCW for the cooper is close to $5000.

Peak could surely do some work on a cooper with that money im guessing.

Anyways, i cant say as im not sure, havnt really looked into yet, but interested in what you find out dude. keep us posted.

I think the sound kit is about $2700 plus install... it is a new rear muffler, filter etc. from memory.

My non-BMW exhaust and filter certainly didn't cost that much. Consider non-factory option too.

Chris,

How does your cooper feel now with the filter & the exhaust fitted, interested in modding my cooper.

Hey Daniel

I found the exhaust change was very good. Not so sure on the filter. Oh yeah, mine has been chipped too.

My mods were done in this order: filter, exhaust, chip (plus some suspension mods along the way.)

I'm biased, but I'd go aftermarket.

Cheers
Chris

I second that. The iTrip is pretty useless, too much congestion on the FM dial. Like Micky says go for an AUX inout.

yeah the iTrip is fairly useless, alot of interference, i mucked around for a good 6 mths trying to find a station without static etc, but what works in one area wont in another. My aux input cost about $140 fitted at the dealers and the sound quality is amazing, sooooo much better than iTrip.

Dont let them put the aux input into the glove box either, tell them you want it under the toggle switches, much easier to access that way.

yes...but not lousy enough for me to go back to looking like a remote-controled car....

(it's not that bad...it just reduces your range....What's important for me is that I can still get JJJ all the way from Sydney to Canberra moving between three frequencies.... )
