| Cruising In The Minge | There is one firece creature been forgotten here, and it goes by the name of wife Sweet, soft and mild mannered one minute and at the mere mention of a new MINI mod can result in a barage of questions and tongue lashings that leave you in a state of stupor bleeding from the eyes and ears. I think there have been reported cases of similar episodes in other countries, I hope its not an epidemic sweeping the world. ![]() ![]() 2002 PS/PS JCW MC 1970 BRG/W MK2 Morris Cooper S |

Offline | In Timor I had the opportunity to sit down with the Preventive Medicine guys and they were telling me that all the dirt contained millions of worm eggs. When we got back to Australia they gave us each a box of worm tablets where 2 tablets would normally treat an adult - we had to take the entire box in one hit. With ticks I was out bush once and one poor girl woke up with over 40 ticks on her. Because we had moved into the position at night she didn't realise she was sleeping in a kangaroo pad (a cleared area where kangaroos regularly sleep) and it was full of them. We shouldn't forget leeches either - another time we had a guy wake up with a leech attached to the end of his John Thomas - Maggots aren't so bad - they still use them in some areas to assist in healing wounds - they eat all the dead flesh leaving the healthy flesh untouched. Naturally you've got to get fresh untainted maggots as opposed to ones which you pull off roadkill. Bush-rats can be fun too - these native rats are the mother-of-all-rats - they're huge and will eat their way straight through a heavy canvas backpack to get at your food. I was out bush once with the Army and I was taking my turn on the machine gun. I could hear this noise out in front of me so I was leaning forward to concentrate on listening when this bush-rat jumped on the end of the gun barrell - scared the bejeebers out of me. |

| Loves the Fuzzy One | This is such a disgusting thread! ![]() Back before indoor plumbing, I was in an outhouse when a snake entered. And yes, I tripped over my shorts as I ran away screaming. In another part of the world, I was living in a tent. In the middle of the night, I went out to the water box to get a cold bottle of water. As I stood there rooting around in the dark, something hairy and multi-legged crawled across my toes. Decided to wait for daylight for water.![]() Global Moderator |

| Boy who made the wolf cry | I used to collect skinks when I was a kid... we used to wait for them on a hot day on the rocks near our house and but them into buckets. One day I got about 25 of them! I used to let them go in my two older sisters rooms just as they were going off to bed! ![]() PROJECT POLARIS - Die Wiedergeburt eines kultautos |

Offline | Yes 17 hours after picking it up from the dealers brand new I hit it with the headlight dropped it and ran over it. breaking my radiator mount and denting my air con condensor. I had to replace the plastic bit under the bumper but not a scratch on the bumper. I've since done 3000km in it no problems. THey build them tough out here. 1968 Mk1 Morris Cooper S 1310cc Downton Lake Green - White 1974 Leyland Mini 1098c Country Cream 2008 MINI Cooper S Chilli Pepper White - Black Roof |
