Offline | Wait finally over!! Mini S chilli ARRIVED!! Questions?!? The wait is finally over!! I picked up my hyber blue chilli S yesterday!! Interior design is first class. Is a dream!! Did any of you guys join the offer when you got the car?? $1350 for an extra year of warranty and road side service. 60000kms or 3 years services??? The dealer told me the service is around $450-$500, and the extra year warranty and road side service cost $650. Seems to be a bargin?? Advice?? Where are you guys put your loose change?? It seems the mini doesn't have a conventional box to let you put your coins?? Same for your mobile and sun-glasses?? Baggio |

Offline | Thats what you want! Its a gorgeous sound and you'll soon learn to love it! Of course it'll sound better than your friends rice burners - thats the sound of power, not just a fart cannon exhaust ![]() Anyway, assuming you have an 05 build Mini - Sunnies - little box under the switches Change - In the little storage spot near your right knee Mobile - in a cup holder |

Offline | Congrats! ![]() Pics please ![]() I didnt take anything else that they offered at the time, but I will end up extending my warranty to the 3rd year when it comes t the end of my 2 year term. Service price will vary. Some have paid ~400 odd, I paid under $300 for my first service. Probably need to speak to someone with experience getting a service at your dealer ![]() My spare change goes in the right-hand cupholder ![]() - Global Moderator - MY BLOG - Global Procrastinator - ![]() ... | Livin' the country life | Congratulations! Worth the wait?????There is also a change holder thingy under the handbrake as well as a sunglasses holder in the glove box. As Baker said mobile in a drinks holder. BTW it's not loud, it's a sports car. You should drive a MCSC with the roof up....love that sound ![]() ![]() |

| Still kickin' along | Congratulations!!! change - in one of the cup holders behind the gear stick - I use the one with the removable cup and lid so I can carry my change around like a hobo.... sunnies - look behind those cup holders, underneath the aircon, there's a little 'nook'/'divet'/'curvy spot' that fits your sunnies nicely. There's also a strap on your visor you can slide them under...or you could put them in the little cubby hole to the bottom right corner of your steering wheel....or in the sunglass holder in the glove compartment ( )..... noise - that's what the MCS is all about....the whine is the supercharger....go listen to an mcs with an after-market cold air induction kit on it!!! It's even louder! Don't get worried if it pops and burbles when you're coming off the throttle as well...the car should sound like a wind up toy with the 'rice bubble's' guys going at it out the back....pop-pop-pop.... ...I'd hope so!! It should be quicker too!Triple-3 offer ? - my dealer told me that the only way to get value out of that was to get three servicings....and unless I thrashed the car, it wouldn't happen in under 60,000km....he basically talked me out of it!!! In fact..they didn't know anything about it, until I asked them, and they ended up fishing through the drawers and found a crumpled fax about it...!! Good ol' Rolfe Classic! I hate how they only give you the day of the delivery to make the D.... Hope you enjoy your lovely new machine!!! |

Offline | yes, mine is a 05 build. What little box?? i only notice under the switches, the space is very deep. But don't think it can store much though. Was thinking about buying an iPod before, but don't think i will now, as it can play mp3!! Anybody does their service in Brighton in melbourne?? Very tempting to get that "tripe offer" for the extended warranty/road side service, and service. is just paying the service upfront i guess!! Right?? Do i need to take it easy with my babes before 1000kms?? Don't go too hard?? Will post some photo asap!! Be patient Baggio |

Offline | clubmini?? my budget for the whole year is nearly gone. If i get the triple-3 offer, then there will be non left. 60000kms or 3 years?? How often do you need to do the service?? Dealer only told me the first service is in 15000kms. I am pretty sure i will do 3 service in 3 years, so probably is a good deal for me with an extra year of warranty/road side services!!! ![]() |

![]() Smurfing Around | Congrats, looking forward to pics. My change goes in the cup holder/ashtray (or wife's purse), and sunnies go in the glovebox or underneath the handbrake or under the switches or on the floor or on the back seat or in the door pockets. Hadn't realised there was a thing on the visors, may have to add that to the list too ![]() |

Offline | I've just had my first service at 8500kms. It cost me $330. All of my stuff (change, phone sunnies) go in the g/f's handbag....thats why they carry them isnt i? ![]() ![]() Powerful like a gorilla, yet soft and yielding like a Nerf ball. Now, at last, I have found it |

Offline | I reckon the best place for sunnies is in front of the handbrake. Leave them unfolded and just put them upside down with the arms on either side of the console with the mirror adjuster in it. There isn’t enough room for them to move around or fall down besides the seats, the carpet keeps them from sliding back and forward, they are close to hand and there is plenty of room below the handbrake for them to sit and not get in the way. Only problem for people with newer (MY05 on I think) Mini’s is that they decided to put a naff looking coin holder thing there instead. ![]() Jan 06 MCS Checkmate |

Offline | It depends how hard you drive – the onboard computer works it out for you, the harder you treat the engine (this includes trip distances/times and fuel consumption), the closer the service intervals. If you don’t flog your car, get it out for a decent long drive every now and again and your fuel consumption isn’t too high, then it is possible to stretch the service intervals out to as much as 25,000 kilometres. Whether or not you want to let it go that long yourself is another matter entirely but I figure the engine engineers know what they are doing so I trust their judgement and get it serviced when the car tells me. Offline | ok. So when you do your service doesn't necessary depend on how many kms the car ran?? The car will tell you??? Dealer just told me i need to keep an eye on the engine oil, because the new mini sometime might eat up alot at first up. |

Offline | Yeah, that's right. When you start the car, the odometer will display a countdown of the remaining kilometres until you need to get it serviced for a couple of seconds. And yes, keep an eye on the oil, mine used about 500ml before the first service (not bad for 22,000 kilometres ) but has never used any since.Jan 06 MCS Checkmate |
