A little while back I had a nasty run in with another MINI driver at the Maccas drive through. I pulled into Maccas and there was a MINI infront of me, so, I gave a quick beep. The driver then got out of his car, and began screaming expletives at me before getting back in and driving off.

Fast forward to today. I was out of my way in Williamstown today, and guess who I spotted parked at the park? Yes, the same dude. So, I did the only reasonable thing I could think of. Namely taking the rabbit teddy bear I had in the car, tying a small note to it and putting it under his wipers. The note read "It's amazing what happens when you're nice to other MINI drivers. Try it sometime".

Victory!

(I had another gift for the person I was deliverying the teddy to, and she enjoyed the story, so I guess it was worth it).

That was a nice thought. I have similar story re a lady who owns one in the same suburb. Everytime i see a mini i wave, its the thing to do and as you said a friendly beep to let them know that u appreciate their taste in cars. Well do u think i can get a wave out of her but i decided to persist and it took me 15 months but she finally now gets it and i occasionally get a wave back from her.
