Offline | ClubMINI NSW/ACT - Tumut Drive 29/4-1/5/05 Calling all clubMINI members and those considering joining. We have 6 MINI's so far for the Tumut Falling Leaf Festival drive starting out of Sydney on 29 April, we then track down to Cooma via Canberra to pick up our ACT contingent and head over the beautiful Snowy Mtns Hwy to Tumut where we are booked into motel accommodation for Friday and Saturday night. On Saturday we participate in the Parade through town in our MINI's and enjoy the festivities that only a country town can put together, we are invited to the huge fireworks display as part of the festival on Saturday evening. On Sunday i have planned an amazing MINI drive through, around and over the Mountains, a chance to explore the road holding of your beloved MINI, enjoy the amazing views and breathe the fresh air. A truly great drive back home. clubMINI cost is $150 per member includes 2 nights accommodation and breakfast. Non members just $20 more. To enrol just email me your name and MINI details via a PM or through the clubMINI website. Hope to see you on this great clubMINI drive. Vic ![]() |

Offline | Vic, with the MINIkhana the week previous I might have to miss this one. However, if you need a hand, or an extra MINI in the convoy when passing through Canberra I might be able to meet up. ![]() |

Offline | Well Guys/Girls, now that we have got over the MINIkhana the next event on the clubMINI calendar is the Tumut Falling Leaf Festival drive. Our accommodation is now full with 9 MINI's participating in this awesome event. We head out next Friday with a planned lunch in front of old Parliament House from 12.30pm so any Canberrian's or nearbyers, who can get lunch time off work come down and say Hi, please do so. Liam, you have to wear that lucky pink shirt OK We have secured a spot in the Parade through the streets of Tumut on Saturday starting from around 12.30, so if you can't make the Drive you might consider coming down to see the crowd reaction to 9 of the best cars ever built strutting their stuff! Joining us on this great drive is our MINIkhana Champion, Gerard, so he'll be doing lots of bragging about his driving prowess and well deserved too Keep an eye on this thread, I'll post a few piccies when we get back next week, won't be in Scotty's league though, we'll miss you mate! Offline | Would love to be joining you guys on this drive, but unfortunately can't make it. Actually we did almost the same trip (in reverse) over Easter. The road between Gundagai and Cooma is an excellent drive with lots of winding bits, especially through the high country. But be prepared to pick up several kilos worth of dead bugs along the way! We extended the drive by taking the Kings Highway to the coast ... the trip from Braidwood to Batemans Bay is especially good, provided you get a clear run (we didn't!). Have fun guys! Cheers Bryan |

Offline | Thanks for the tip. I did consider going that way (done it before in my old Swift GTi), but with a 4-month old baby to manage, we gave it a miss this time. There's only so long he'll last in the baby capsule before getting a bit cranky. ![]() |

Offline | Bryan You should check out clubMINI's High Country Hijinx 5 day drive in early December, we are not only doing Alpine Way Jindabyne to Khancoban, but also all the way to Bright and then over the top following the Alpine Road and Omeo Hwy, some real jewels on the south coast and back up the Batemans Bay to Braidwood road. Should really suit 4 month old Alex who will be 10 months by then. Vic ![]() |
