Offline | Doing a US car is alot more trouble than you might think. European cars (preferrably German) are much easier to get road worthiness. Plus US cars are usually full of rust due Convertibles usually being a west coast thing. Plus German cars are usually in great condition and who wants to look like a fool driving a LHD anyways. However, no rushing into this as theres plenty of them out there. |

| Boy who made the wolf cry | Nick - yeah, I think the new sig is pretty neat. ![]() It incorporates my new business logo... (the intertwined TODD) as well as my clear movement from MINI back to BMW. As for the Merc. You are right, plenty of time - but the price is rising... It will look magnificent in with the Lotus'! Todd PROJECT POLARIS - Die Wiedergeburt eines kultautos |

| Boy who made the wolf cry | Yeah - good old Lindsay Fox... Good example of hard work and determination paying off. The guy has one of the best garages ever! The doors on the 300SL would always be hitting on the roof of my garage! PROJECT POLARIS - Die Wiedergeburt eines kultautos Last edited by Todd! : Apr 26th, 2005 at 05:37 AM. |

Offline | Drove her more or less daily for 5 years...absolutely wonderful time it was too. The car was in very very good nick and was well maintained. They like to be driven daily, and she went where I went. (no dirt rds though..) As I live and work in the same suburb, and am a reasonably friendly bugger, the old girl was well known and well 'watched' by the locals whenever parked anywhere, I always felt secure that way...she was a part of the community like an old draught horse (maybe a bad comparison..?). By the way a much nicer car to drive with the hardtop on than as a convertible, although still nice as a convertible...Benz engineering back then was amazing, felt like a 10 year old car not a 30 yr old.. enough emotional rambling from me... |

Offline | I was reading a magazine once which listed the top ten collections around and he was about 8 or 9 I think. Behind people like Ralph Lauren, Sultan of Brunei, Some billionaires, Italian Dukes, etc. Not bad for a trucker. ![]() |
