Oh Kerrie, what a conundrum this poses for me; do I tune in to this "game show" and watch how Nelson progresses, or do I do something more constructive with my life, like crocheting??

begin rant <I've never quite felt comfortable watching this made-for-television "reality". Who actually lives in a house, within a theme park, cut off from almost all external communication/information with a multitude of cameras filming your every move? Most people’s lives aren't really as boring as the contestants’ lives within the house, except of course, unless you're imprisoned.> end rant

Keep us informed Kerrie, because this cranky old git is interested, but can't be bothered watching

...eat a snack with Brown and Black.

Ha ha ha, that may need to be re-worded or people might get the wrong idea

It's interesting, a lot of non fans of BB seem to think that it is all about voyeurism but the reality is that it's a fascinating insight into the many facets of our own youth culture. Not that anyone here does it, but I think it would do some of the older generations of Australian's who are into youth bashing a good deal of benefit to sit down and watch BB so they understand youth culture a bit better and realise that were not all bored drug addled vandal loving hooligans.

must be having a blonde moment andrew...am still only thinking of nelson as my cute son!!!

as a mum of 4+3 (blended family), can only agree with you about the talents and behaviour of so many of the young'uns.
in our family, we have even had the experience of a couple of the kids taking some detours only to find them heading down the main track once they get the hang of this thing called 'life' .

haven't watched bb before but knowing the kind of bloke nelson is (and therefore the range of personalities that would have been chosen to bounce around in the same bubble as him) , i reckon we will see nothing much more than the whole range of reactions and interactions that we have all experienced , only it will of course be condensed.

let the fun begin

dunno about him putting in a plug for mini2 minigolf but i do know that the only other pair of shorts he has taken into the house with him is his 15 year old brother's school sport shorts complete with the school emblem...not sure how that will go down

We'll have to disagree on this point. My wife's a fan of BB, but to me it seems as though nothing much actually happens in that house, it's a series of mundane conversations between uninteresting people. I'm basing my opinion on past series, I'm sure Kerrie's son is the exception to my observation.

Really?

In all seriousness, Kerrie, congratulations, I hope Nelson does well.

I love the lines in the Housemate bios about which Star Wars character are they most like ... most of the replies are cheesy answers straight out of Perfect Match!
