| MINI2 Master | Just wanted to post a MASSIVE thanks out to Terry (Eltel) I had another episode like at the start of the year last thursday (i.e. blacking out), only this time I was driving to work when it happened, luckily I was stopped at the lights. I got taken away to hospital, and the police moved the car to the side of the road. While I was in hospital and still fairly out to it I was lying there worrying about the car sitting next to the side of the road (no-one said I was in a rational state of mind..), when who should stick his head in but Terry, who was visiting his father in the next bed. I mentioned the car sitting by the side of the road to him, and he arranged to go home, get his son, come back, and bring my car to the hospital so it wasn't sitting by the side of Nepean highway. So a BIG thanks goes out to Terry, I owe you a huge one, that was a wonderful thing for you to do, ESPECIALLY when your Dad was sick as well, I felt really bad later when thinking about that, hope he gets better soon. Michael. Last edited by MickyD : May 9th, 2005 at 01:32 PM. |

| Whatev. | OMG Micky thats pretty damn frightening - glad you were not moving at the time. This MINI thing is great - I saw a glimpse of that in Byron with my little incident. Real MINI owners are fantastic people who seem more than happy to drop everything to help a fellow MINI driver in need. Get well soon matey Massive props to Terry for coming to your aid. ![]() ![]() |

Offline | Oh man - heavy news Micky. I hope they can find that answer to treating the problem asap - to be denied driving the Mini... It's unthinkable! But as you said mate it was very fortunate that you were stationary at the time. And as everyone else has said HUGE dues to Terry for helping out. It is moments like those that without this forum would never occur, sure we can be mouthy little so and so's occaisionally but gestures like this by far and away shine out as being an excellent indication of what this MINI2 community is made of. A big get well to MickyD and Terry's Dad. ![]() |
