Where are they??

Whats happenning up here in QLD???

I have started on the quest of bigger and better performance so now I am starting to think of tracking it with the best of them... sure the cars only 5 months old, so I think it's time to break her in if you know what I mean...

I've done the intake, intercooler and I've just put in the new springs now and the new Alta 22mm sway bar I put in next week I hope. Many more mods to come... I'm busy designing my turbo manifold

So whats happening with the track events up here??

I know for a fact that BMW are not doing any courses or anything up here this year at the moment... Are we really that worthless?? Are we not the only place in Australia that can support all year round top down driving??
So why are we the only State in Australia that gets no tutalage on mini driving?? Maybe we are just already brilliant drivers

I would really like to get together with some of you guy's to see if we can do what Lotus has done and set up a national MINI motoracing spectacle.

Let's here from my QLD counterparts and see what goes... A mate of mine has a garage on the track up in Warwick that will fit a few mini's in for a weekend for a very small price so let's get talkin...

Ken I'm sure you'd be up for some lobbying of the big boy's.. Maybe...

Mods so far...

Alta intake, Intercooler diverter + Spray, Alta Short Shifter (to be fitted), Alta springs (1.5" lower) on an '04 s and an Alta rear sway bar going on next week hopefully

MINI training venues are only in NSW, Vic and Qld, the rest of us get nothing. Not even once a year

Yeh Sucks doesn't it???

Why can't we use a BMW owned mini to thwack about???

The more they do the more they sell thats what I say... Infact I think that any one that bought a mini in the last 24 monts should get a free course... Especially since the new JCW kits are being sold now... What a great way to promote the mods????

Sorry, been off MINI2 for awhile. Have been way too busy. Thanks for the support at the Queensland Hillclimb Championships last weekend.

Turns out the power problem was burst hoses at each end of the intercooler. Only 2.5 seconds off my PB without boost wasn't too bad, I suppose Oh well, a second in class is still better than a day full of DNRs. Shame I emptied half a can of Belt Grip onto the supercharger belt for no reason - got a sticky mess to clean up now.

On the bright side 2 days of driving without boost has allowed me to hone my skills on the hill. I'll count it as 2 hard-earned days of practice. The July round of the series will be very interesting.

It was great Ken... We loved the day.. I have some spare IC hoses so i'll bring them next time too... I can bring the whole toolkit of you like... Of course I'd have to bring the 4b aswell
