Does this mean I should re-commence pestering my dealer for info on my January '06 Checkmate? Without waiting for your answer, I have already made my decision to engage re-pesterance mode.

How did you pestering go? I should hopefully get a build date this week! (although I'm not holding my breath ).

I was down in Sydney for New Years (man did the weather suck!!!! I have honestly never been that hot in my life! ) so I decided to drop by Alto to see if they had a car fitted with the Recaro's. WTFBBQ, they did! And oh baby, definitely a good choice They are more supportive without being OTT, very comfortable and best of all, you don't feel like your being bent over a rack with the out of control lumber support on the standard sports seats. They apparently have a bigger range of lumber support than the standard seats and start with a lot less lumber support than standard which I'm very happy about. Oh, and they look good too (although in all honesty, I'm not sure how much involvement Recaro actually had cause they have basically have the same mechanicals - but they cost the same as standard leather seats with heating so I guess I can't really complain )

My pestering-by-email has not extracted a response yet. Rest assured that as soon as I have details, you'll all be bludgeoned over the head with them endlessly.

What is this murmur I hear of "Handy Andy" sounds like a cleaning product, not an authority on the MINI

sheesh, whatever next.

Handy Andy.... This reeks of Kerrie

PMSL. Gotta say I have a little chuckle to myself whenever I see "handy andy" written.

One of the Canberrans gets credit for that one though. (can't remember if it was Lima or Mary).

An oracle can be handy. It is a nice trick, makes the rest of us feel like maybe one day if we work very very hard we can be oracles too!

Oh Oracle, question time:

Why is everyone doing between 5-15kms under the speed limit at the moment? Do they want to make stressed out poki super stressed out? Or has the population of Newcastle relocated to the Central Coast?

it's a conspiracy Kerrie
At this time of the year people are easily distracted, a few questions...
1) Have you removed the toilet brush aerial mod from Cookie?
2) Have you thoroughly de-tinselled Cookie?
3) Have you dyed your hair electric blue?

1) Yes
2) Yes
3) Dammit! I forgot that was the reason for going blonde in the first place. Last time I had it done blonde I ended up with a bit of a chemical haircut and it all started falling out and I looked like a mop head that was ready for the bin. So I got the crappys with it last week and had it all cut off and dyed all stripey.

Like a TIGER! (or a brand new stripey mop head)

As for the conspiracy - they like making me scream GAFMO at them?

Oh, I have a question for Mr Clever too … how does one get oneself three different, yet perfectly suited, nicknames?

Seriously though, if I leave my bonnet open for a long period of time (ie. overnight, for example) will that do long term damage to my struts?

I am pointing the finger straight at Lima
But the idea was from Poki who started the Andy bit.
So, it is almost time for a MINI group hug there are so many involved in the one naming
