Popped in to the Mini Garage here in Canberra, at lunch time.

Got to have a sticky at the Mini that was going to be used by the Manager (or someone like that) of Mini Australia for the event. Fitted with the JCW front brake upgrade - slightly larger versions of stock, and also sporting the JCW sports suspension pack. The obligatory JCW exhaust - and I'm guessing tuning pack, but also the tasty CF boot strip and bonnet scoop.

Interstingly though - no JCW sports seats to be seen. I know I would have at least fitted them, given the CooperS sports seat - while comfortable lacks a certain something in side ways support.

Anyways it had Pirrelli P-Zero Corsa's on it (possibly my favourite in terms of look before going to a full track tyre).

Look forward to seein it go on Saturday.

There should be a contingent of MINI2ers supporting the lads on at Sutton Driver Training Centre now.

The tradey we're waiting for has just rung to say he'll be 30 minutes late! Hopefully we won't miss out on too much of the action. But we'll be up at Goulburn at some stage today ... put the kettle on Mick!

Good day today, got heaps of photos at the skid track at Sutton and a few tonight at the motorkhana in Goulburn.

Unfortunately, due to a bit of a mix up only got video of Stu at tonight's motorkhana as we missed them today at the Sutton driver training complex near Queanbeyan. Never mind, we had a bit of a chat to James Dutton and THE MINI guy, forget his name, but he was National Manager of MINI I believe.

Caught up with Stu and robbo after the motorkhana tonight, it was good to speak to them. They thought for a bit they had some brake problems, but they think all should be okay, although they may do a car swap (into robbo's car) for the Eastern Creek leg tomorrow.

Nah, that was Gavin Stocks who is national sales manager, this bloke was Gavin's boss.

Oh yeah, one other thing I forgot to mention ... who wants to join Tux and I for the Dutton Rally 2006!

Seen here is Dutton with the handbrake firmly applied and the lsd working overtime as he moves up for start at the Sutton complex near Queanbeyan.

Right click save as for Stu's run on the motorkhana course tonight. He did a pretty impressive 25 flat which was right up there with other competitors in his class.
