Hi,

I just got back from the rally

I'll just make a quick post, as I am moving house tomorrow, so I am busy, and also short on internet access

The rally was great fun Lots of great cars, and great people

Thanks to Tux, Liam, MaryC, AndrewH and partners coming out to support us Sorry we didn't meet up as planned but it was great to catch up

Also great to meet with James and Jason in the official BMW mini with JCW, strut brace, JCW suspension, JCW brakes, pirelli corsas They are great guys too

Stu and I had a great time

The highlights for me personally were the circuit racing. You only get 2 flying laps, which makes it very difficult to get a good time. I managed PB's at Wakefield (1.12.6) and Eastern Creek (1.55.6).

The low point was this afternoon Suddenly in the middle of lap my car lost power, EML came on, and the car rapidly overheated I managed to get the car back to the pits, where the diagnosis became apparrent, a shredded pulley belt, which shut down the supercharger, water pump, power steering, brake booster etc. The engine overheated in a bad way The event was over for us, and we missed the last few events I had to get the car flatbedded Hopefully the damage is not too serious

Despite the problems, I still had a great time, and I think Stu did as well

Cheers

Robbo

Yeah a great weekend had by all and was really chuffed to catch up with some the "Southern Crew" on Saturday night, its always a lot more fun when you know there are some spectators in the crowd

Its was very sad to see Robbo heading off home with Maddie on the back of a tilt tray (thats usually my job) and he did look rather sad himself thinking about all the possible things that may have gone wrong, personnally I think it will all be fine but lets leave that assessment to the experts.

I had a great weekend, did a whole lot of events I have never done before and was very grateful to be able to co-drive with Robbo and witness some seriously great track time, he really is starting to get in a groove

Finally it seems that even though Robbo missed the last two events he got a third in class at tonights presentation, wonder what could have been achieved if he had to chance to finish!!!!

Well done boys!! Twas great to catch up and I'm sorry to hear about the mechanical problems.. We're all hoping it's not too serious...

It's a shame you couldn't have joined us for dinner as we had a great time over at the Worker's ourselves (in the poor man's section of course!) ..
