Liam was hoping for a 'happy' start so he had the buzzer in his pocket!

With the intensity that those things buzzed, I'm not sure happy would be the right word

Sorry to see the news on Maddie. Hope all turns out well. It was great to catch up and cheer, even if not at the right time and place, it was in the right spirit.

Next year there will be three MINIS to cheer on.... you guys, Dutton and Minigolf/Tux Combo......

Glad you boys had fun, sounds like a great result given that you didn't finish. Sorry to hear of the mechanical problems, hope that Maddie is sorted quickly and there is no damage.

Damn officials I was going to get a good pic then too. And given that I was next to a car, I like that its perfectly safe for the driver to crash into a car, but not me.

Cause it's easier to move a banged up Tarago (especially when you have a 520kw Gemballa Cayenne) than a carcass spilling blood and guts everywhere

Bummer on the car Robbo, hope everything is OK!!!! Very impressive times.... 1.12.6 at Wakefield , I can see when the time comes i will really have to get some practice in to be anywhere near competitive at the BMW track days...

PS... I think i need to get my racecar, the itch is returning...

Hi Boo,

You need to get back on the track

The car is all fixed, thanks to the guys at Peak. as suspected the pulley had shredded. The engine was fine. The only problem was the belt had flapped around when shredded, and damaged the pulley tensioner Unfortunately there were no parts in stock, and the delivery from Melbourne was not due to arrive until 1pm tomorrow. This created a bit of a dilemma, as I had paid up to do a Burrows drive day tomorrow, along with Stu, Tom and possibly Bob.

Nick solved the problem, by taking the part off my other mini (Sparky), and everything is now fixed I allways suspected that sooner or later my normal, unmodified, daily driver mini would turn into a mobile spare parts depot for the racecar

Cheers

Robbo
