5 Hour Wait

Today i went into BMW Parramatta to get the AUX input cable fitted, what a waste of time it has been.

5 hours in total i was there & they still got it wrong.

I wanted this

http://outmotoring.com/mini_auxilary_audio_input.html

but got this

http://outmotoring.com/mini_cooper_i...e_adapter.html

Big difference.

In total the blasted part cost $363, i remember alot of you guys saying you only paid $150.

I have said it before & will say it again, i hate BMW Parramatta, they are a bunch of fools.

Daniel

Ps: What can i do now ?

I just rang BMW, the bloke says its been a mix up of whats been ordered.

He has to see his manager tomorrow & speak to him about it.

But it looks like ill be forking out another $100 odd dollars.

The blasted bloked that organised it for me tried to make out it was my fault, what a total d*ckhead.

Now waiting to get a call back tomorrow.

To much fun.

Bugger!!! Do you even have an IPod to connect?

I got mine for about $190 Aus from outmotoring and you can still have the AUX if you have the IPod adapter but they shouldn't charge you labour for it if it ins't what you wanted....(I did get mine installed at Parramatta though)

I know it's cruel, but 'welcome to the world accesories and modifications'.
All I could suggest is to get your old man to ring up on your behalf and have a stern talk!
If you have an Ipod, keep it and offer half the labor reduced. If you dont want it, then offer to pay for what it would cost for the one you wanted and tell them you're not paying for said installed. However, unless you have documented proof you had ordered the lower priced input, there is not much you can do legally. So dont get irrational as you will get nowhere.

Understand your issue. I think the price is inflated as this also includes their labour.
I am getting the same as the second one you detailed, with BMW Perth quoting I think $200 for parts plus $100 labour.
If you look on mini.com.au it states that the MFSW option is available in Aussie, but when you ask at the Dealer they say it is not, they push you to the one you detail.
Let me know how you go???

Dan do you have MFSW? If you do its worth it. Ive recently upgraded from the simple AUX in, being able to change tracks with MFSW and getting charge on the go is the best.

But since its their mistake, dont let them go until you receive discount from the part or labour or both.
