| MINI Traitor | I in no way condone the following, for the simple reason.... I may want to sit in your car one day!!! I think sex is considered safe if you follow the diagram ![]() This may be another good reason to get sports suspension. Maybe we're going to see a SBS film. ![]() Clubman less.... ![]() |

Offline | We cant make it to the drivein night due to Gympie Country Music Muster but I have been to the Yatala Drive in before for the special classic cars nights. They have both the FM things that you attach to your antennae as well as some of the speaker boxes. The website for the Yatala Drivein is www.drive-intheatre.com.au but I dont think they have listed yet what they are playing at the end of August. Hope you all have a great night. We will be going to the Classic Cruisers night on Saturday 8 October at Yatala Drive in if anyone is interested. |

Offline | We'll definately be there. My wife's cousins own it, so we go there quite often, cause it gives us a chance to watch a movie while the little one sleeps in the back. They have both the FM transmitted station and also the old style boxes. You don't actually need to attach the wires to the arial as it will just pick it up normally if you tune your radio to their specified station. (this helps with the minis remote-controlled car style arial placement). There are two screens, playing two different movies each. So if you want to see one movie on one screen in the first session, you can move your car to the other screen for the second session if you wish, and if there is space available. We'll have to make sure we get there right when the gates open, as it fills up really quick. Matt |

| MINI Traitor | That's a great idea Matt... hadn't thought about that. What time to the movies actually start? If it's after or around Charlize's bedtime it's a plan. Obviously, plans with kids are a recipe for disaster, and it might all to to hell in a cardboard cup with a plastic lid ![]() Clubman less.... ![]() |

Offline | If you check out the times on the site mentioned above that will tell you, but I think from memory they are around 6.30 start times. (It varies from summer to winter). The first movie is usually a 'kiddish' type one, then there's an M or so rated one to follow once the kids have theoretically 'gone to bed'. We usually try to tire Annaleese out that afternoon, so she's zonked out early...lol. It's usually easy in the Pathfinder 'famwagon', as we can lower the back seats and add pillows for comfort, but I haven't tried the mini at the drive-ins yet...HK sound might give me a dolby experience lol. |

Offline | Lol, that would be real great!!! Unfortunately, I don't think there would be enough of us to turn up to warrant that. They do have retro nights, where the entire place is filled with hot-rods and old-school cars, and they have jive dancing and play elvis etc. movies. But, it's a massive event, and they get the numbers. If we could get enough minis together, both classic and new, i'm sure they wouldn't mind doing that....maybe a thought for the future? ps. If I had my way it would be an Ashley Judd double feature....(insert Homer drool sound here). |

Offline | Todd, yep have it now and loving every second of it. Havne't been able to drive it as much as i've liked as I've been really busy working long hours. I've taken a few shots of the interior to post up here, but it looks really, really red and doesn't show anywhere near the true colour. I'm going to take some shots outside tomorrow, without the flash to get a truer colour, then i'll post the pics up. Matt |

Offline | I thought the girlfriend might be causing the flat battery Now on the serious side, did you have the Xenons on while you were washing the car? as mine do not work unless the engine is running, I have had the radio on for over 2 hours while working on my MINI and no flat battery. I think you have Ipod thing and I read that they can cause excess drain on the battery as they do not allow the car bus system to go to sleep. I would have the dealer look at the car (with out the Ipod thing installed) as there are other problems that can cause this and your dealer should fix them for you. Snoopy |

Offline | Yatala Drive In has just confirmed one of the 2 double features for Saturday 27 August. Monster in Law and Wedding Crashers will be on screen 1. Still waiting for confirmation on screen 2. Anyway, first movie screens at 7.15pm, but there is always a crowd, so I'd suggest arrival at 6.30pm with time to mingle with other clubMINI members. I will update again, when the second double feature is announced. |
