| As seen on TV.......... | I have just had the above installed on my new MINI Cooper S by Andrew Jackson at OZICOZI (Sydney). So I thought that as some questions have been asked recently on here as to is it worth it and what does it consist of that I would show you all the process of installation. Please see below the attached images of the process, Andrew very kindly allowed me to photograph his handiwork. They are not in order but should be easy to follow, I will attach more images of the rest of the process. The time taken to apply varies but this installation took about 51/2 Hours. It is a great product and was very proffesionally applied, if it was not applied as good as it possibly could of been Andrew removed the offending piece and started again. The most complex part is the large vinyl piece that goes across the front of the bonnet, I had decided to go for maximum protection so that meant a piece that extends approx 70 to 80mm beyond the back of the supercharger scoop up the bonnet. Andrew also does one that stops at the top of the scoop as well. I also had the optional Door Cup and Door Edge protection done so as to deter any marks before they had chance to happen. Upon completion the only obvious thing that can be seen is a very fine line running across the top of the bonnet where the vinyl ends, but unless you went looking for it it is hard to see. It is a small thing to have for the protection that it offers to the bodywork! So if you are in the market for this type of product then contact Andrew at OZICOZI on 02 9905 4454 or 0425 299 977, if you have any technical questions then please speak to Andrew if they are easy feel free to ask me. I will post an update as the vinyl settles in over the next few weeks and I can wash the car and then wax it, can't wait to drive it now knowing that at least I have some protection. Oh by the way Andrew can confirm the cost but it should be around the $550 mark, depending on what you want to cover. Hope this helps to explain the product also see the website at OZICOZI Chilli_Red Last edited by Chilli_Red : Aug 3rd, 2005 at 05:21 AM. |

Offline | Thanks very much for the info mate. Eltel (Terrence from Ozicozi) will hopefully be doing my roof flag in the next couple of days, now I will be grilling him about the paint protection film....I just wonder if the clear film will be okay over the bonnet stripes or will it have to be cut round them? The major obstacle will be squirelling $500 from our bank account without 'er indoors noticing (she wouldn't understand the benefit of the film!) Phil |

| As seen on TV.......... | No problem guys doing the report, the more good products and people that supply them we can find and tell each other about the better. That way we all end up winners using products that are supported by people that care. Thanks for the comments. Chilli_Red |

Offline | The best advice is to install the paint protection before bonnet stripes. Andrew can probably explain the reasons better but I found its easier to change stripes, etc without upsetting the base protection vinyl. As for paint damage, I'm pretty sure not as it uses a not corrosive glue, whichis the problem with some sticker compounds, etc. The only problem I know of is that if you have existing stonechips filled before these bits may get lifted out on removal as they are not as strongly bonded and the base paint surface. 2002 BRG MCS with more mods than can remember The thieves choice in race cars ![]() 2005 BEP MCS stock standard and staying that way |

| As seen on TV.......... | Andrew quoted $550, but best to talk to Andrew as there is a slight variation depending on what exact parts you want other than the standard kit. See the attached image to see what is standard, the door handle and door edges are not standard parts of the kit. Hope this helps. Chilli_Red |

| As seen on TV.......... | I have managed to take some photo's of the fine line that is evident after the 3M vinyl has been applied, this is to enable everyone to see where the vinyl ends and the bare paintwork starts. It is only noticeable if you go looking for it, and is a small price to pay for the protection it gives. Hope this helps to indicate what little difference there is to see. Chilli_Red ![]() |

| As seen on TV.......... | OUCH is right, have a word with OZICOZI and see if they can recommend anyone. Or prepare yourself for a bit of a drive to Sydney, it still could cost less to come here and back and still save money. Seriously though if you do, let us know and my wife and I will put you up for the night. Chilli_Red ![]() |
