Hey Everyone.

Motorline BMW are holding a 'MINI Show & Shine Spectacular' this Sunday (18/9).

The event will be in Dreveson Park, Manly (The big park on the main esplanade) and will be starting at 10.30am. It is a Motorline sponsored event and the catering and trophies/prizes are for Motorline customers only, but all miniers are welcome to come and take a peek and discuss/emerse yourselves in all things mini.

I realise that it is short notice but I hope to see quite a few Brisbane Mini2er's there.

I was going to go to the All British Day at Tennyson in the morning ie 9am and see some of the classic Minis so might see you there after.

I will be there and I hope I win a prize. I have spent about 5 hours cleaning the little bugger but I am happy with the results.

Can't wait for it.

I better get back to work....i'm 12hrs into my day with about another 7-8 to go. Gotta love working for yourself.

Hi Matt, no., the roof isn't fixed completely, Melbourne sent a wrong part up, so it has to go back again at some stage, they also haven't secured the trim properly after replacing the rear window. The roof will fold down, but still looks a mess from the inside when it's up

but looking forward to tomorrow
hope this damn wind dies down, spent all day Friday cleaning the car, then that storm came through last night, and now it's bloody filthy again

Didn't realise you were lerking on here. Not good to hear, let's hope it's another beautiful day tomorrow so you can drive topless (the mini i mean ) to hide the damage. Good luck with the Car show. Last Mini show I attended I won the 1st prize in the Mini Queensland Mini Muster which is held in JUne. (Thanks to Cjay for spotting my grubby wheels and making me clean them ) I think they went on colour because My old mini was full of stone chips, and chipped windsheld.

That was a fun day, and to top it off I did get a trophy - "runner up peoples choice award". I'm very pleased and thanks to everyone that voted for our car. According to Darren there was only a vote it in, which is kind of funny as I voted for the winner Well done Matt your car looked pretty cool.

It was good to put faces to some of you lot too

Had a great day, was good to mmet some of the guys from here too.

And to walk away with a couple of trophies is always a good end to the day .
Yep, apparently People's Choice was very close, but it's all in good fun.

Firstly, congratulations to Motorline for a fantastic day, (I'll post some pics soon ), I have to have a rub down with aftersun lotion first
A big thank you to Darren Griffith for all his hard work in making it happen, "Chef" for a truly awesome BBQ, and Jason Akermanis for his time in awarding trophies and mixing with all of us.
Secondly, many congratulations to Matt (The Artist) on securing "Peoples Grand Champion" for his stand out DS/MCS and "Best Mini Cooper S", also well done to Gary on your Runners Up prize and to Charles (21Blue) on taking out "Best Mini Cooper"
Finally, well done everyone for supporting this day, which will surely become an annual event.
Nice to see Judy and Bernard, Eleni, Ed, Gary , and everyone... here's to the next time

It was truly a great day out, thanks to everyone who turned up and made it a great day Congrats to all the winners, mum was saying that we have never owned a car that has won us a trohpy before.. I think she likes the Mini much more now after today.

Thanks to Darren and the motorline team for organising the event and I look forward to attending more Motorline meets..
