Found this site a few days ago. Seems excellent!

I just bought my (second) car! A 2004 Cooper / all gold / sunroof. 17,000km.

Currently have a Jetta 1.8T, which I totally love and am keeping. I hope to love the Mini just as much. This site seems just as great as vwvortex.com, which has been a great help over the 5 years of VW ownership.

Any opinions out there on the service department at Elite Auto in Ottawa?

Word is, not too hot. You're choices in town are pretty limited.

Make sure you inspect all work after they have finished (before you leave the lot)

Okay...it's December now. There must be 20 feet (okay almost 7 meters) of snow in Ottawa.

Where are the pictures?

My service at Elite has been non-eventful.
They have a really competent and enthusiastic service advisor (I believe her name is Alex).. she is also a babe.

Did you buy your car there? Tell us about your sales experience!

Looks like we share the same vw 'upgrade'

My Mini is my first car, but I too, joined the VWVortex back in 2001. The Canadian posters on that site are really knowledgeable. I had many, many questions answered.

I'll most likely make the reverse "jump", as I'll likely be getting the four door GTI in about 2 years.

The Mini'll go to my sister.
