Although I have a feeling we won't have 30 some MINIs this time.

I'm in, but don't know about Mini Vee. So if he does not want to go is someone willing to let me ride shotgun??

I dunno T, it clearly states in the calender that the BRG is Twyla's ....

Why does Vee not want to go?

Ya never know, though. I'll let Sean & Mike know to contact all their customers, too. Unless the weather is harsh I could see at least 20 being up for the run.

What do you beleve everything you read??

I may get to drive the MINI when the moon is blue. But for me to take it out of the city without him...... I would have to cut the umbilical cord!. Thats way too scary and painfull for poor Vee.

I don't know why he does not want to go. Other than he thinks we should save that run for summer. I told him just because we do it next month does not mean we cannot do it again this summer.

Oh, the reason why I personally think this is a good run for the colder months is because we'll definitely have a BC trip in the summer, plus Highwood pass (a 4 hour trip thats going to be totally awesome!) plus a couple of mountain lakes and our current favorite Elbow falls.

All those places aren't suitable for cold weather, no one wants to spin/slide in the twisties! Drumheller is more or less just straight roads, so I think its slightly better choice for winter.

But yeah, we could do it again for sure! There are some very good scenery around that area thats unique in the world

I agree. It would be better to save for summer...
I'm going to pass because...

1 - I still can't drive
2 - Those roads can be pretty bad (used to do the drive to Saskatoon all the time).
Hwy 9 is usually quite crowded and passing is brutal.

At least find an uncrowded divided highway...
The faster route is hwy 2 to hwy 72. You would miss one stop point though.

If the road are bad, just to slow down the speed. If we don't have snow or have some icy rain, I don't see any problem at all. Anyway, I'm still in.

We'd love to take Oliver out for a highway run in February. He's probably pretty cranky after being stuck in the dark back corner of Crowfoot mini for the past while. We'll ask him when he comes home on Tuesday if he'd like to go. :-)

One question for people who knows these roads well. The route I chose, are they open during winter months? How are the road conditions? (pot holes?)

566 and 9 should be ok. Not sure about the 201, or the roads around drum.
However a lot of roads in that area have been repaired lately, so you might be lucky...

I might show up at crowfoot to chat for a bit..but will have to drive my Disco

I haven't driven my MINI in 54 days!!!
