Targa Newfoundland

So who all watched the show on Global about the Targa Newfoundland 2005 ralley?

Very well done, and the narrator of the show was the co-driver of the JCW MINI that won the unlimited class. Great ralley footage and coverage of most of the competitors. There were also a few classic Mini's, including a '59.

The scenery was incredible.

Some neat MINI footage as well. The "Camera Car" (a Subaru, which was also competing at the same time) had trouble keeping up with the MINI at times. There is an in-car segment where the Subaru Camera Car's navigator comments on the incredible cornering ability of the MINI.

No reruns that I know of, but I did manage to get a PVRed copy of it on my computer.

That narrator was none other than Canada"s own http://jimkenzie.tripod.com/ Jim Kenzie who can be seen every Saturday morning at 10,30am on TSN's Motoring 2006.And the Targa footage was amazing..

I was expecting more than the very few shots of the MINI considering it had won its class.
Then again the title of the program was Targa Newfoundland....so yes the show covered the Targa circuit; some individual battles & personal challenges, Newfie hospitality, some sharp cornering, a few wipeouts & the general travel log. The MINI portion was a let down.

I was disapointed with this too. But they did say the camera car had a hard time catching the MINI!

Well, I got the initial feed straight from TV, and now have it both in a movie file and DVD. I don't really know how to share it in a torrent, however... Any ideas?

I have access to a nice DLP projector if someone can bring a DVD player...

Edit: Actually, my laptop will work too. Just need a location now!

Laptop would work if there aren't too many people, those LCD screens have a fairly narrow viewing angle.
