Offline | There was a typo on the website. Looks like new MINI is supposed to be #39. I received a response from RITV. The show is at the Convention Centre this year. While in the planning stages, they were told that the waterfront road would probably be torn up for improvements so the organizers didn't dare schedule the show for that location, just in case. The setting will not be as spectacular but the British automobile finery will be and the beach is only a couple of blocks away. |

Offline | Well folks, sad to say, but we're not going to be able to make it after all. My wife is too busy with work. She's self employed, and just has too much going on right now. Plus, it turns out my father is coming down my way to take care of some business for my brother. Sure hate to miss out on meeting fellow MINI owners, and visiting the Okanagan, but hopefully, some other time. One of the organizers of the RITV, Gerry Hastings, whom I know from the Vincent Owners Club, was on his Vincent motorcycle at a Vincent event in California a couple of weekends ago, and was involved in an accident. His leg was broken pretty badly. He is in critical, but stable condition, and has been showing good improvement. Please pass on your best wishes when you meet other members of the OBCC. Have fun! |

| 05 MCS BEP | I'm going to be leaving N. Delta (Greater Vancouver area) at 1:30pm on Friday. Unless plans change, I should hit Guildford Towncentre in Surrey before 2:00pm and head out towards Hope from there. Is anybody else planning to leave the Vancouver area in the afternoon and would like to drive up to Penticton as a group? I was thinking we could meet at Guildford. If nobody chimes in, I might just bypass Guildford and head straight for HWY1 via Langley. 05MCS BEP - Alta 22mm rear anti-swaybar, Madness CAI, Alta 15%, NGK BRK7EIX |

Offline | So sorry you can't make it TouringComet. We'll be thinking of you. If you are going to RITV, please bring a two-way radio if you have one. I'd like as many cars in the group as possible to be connected. We will be on Channel 7, sub-channel 21. We have a place for the Alberta and BC groups to meet in Penticton. Actually, Munson Mountain Park is just north of Penticton. From Summerland on Hwy 97, you can see the Penticton sign, a la Hollywood. I thought we'd meet at 3:30 PM for some pictures, some oohing and aahing over the view and the cars and a drive back to Penticton. I know that most people will have already registered with their hotels by then but thought it would be a good photo op and an opportunity for us to get together as a group. Can someone in the Alberta group please take some pictures, digital or film. I'm certain that I can get pictures of this event published, if they turn out well. I have made dinner reservations at Jose's Pepper Club Cafe for 12 for Friday, June 30 at 7 PM for those who aren't registered for the show dinner. www.josespepperclubcafe.com 205-399 Main Street 250-487-2150. Parking lot behind the city centre building, corner of Martin and Wade or directly opposite on Wade. Please let me know if you will be joining us on Friday so I can finalize the number. I have requested a window so we get some kind of a view. (of what, I'm not sure.) Looking forward to seeing everyone soon. Kathy |

Offline | And if anyone is looking for somewhere fun for Saturday night, I highly recommend The Lost Moose Lodge - way, way,way up Carmi in the burn area from the Garnet Fire (and built from rescued logs from same fire). Excellent food: steak, burger, prawns and ribs etc, fabulous view of Penticton and the valley, eat in or out, electric train that circles the top of the restaurant. And for those that want to party - there is a shuttle service to and from town. Reservations a must for dinner. Menu and map online. http://www.lostmooseresort.com/index.html |

Offline | Too bad my schedule didn't work out right so I can't join you guys. However, I am going to BC for a 5 day trip and I will be passing through Penticton at around 12pm on July 2nd. If the schedule is right, I believe thats about the time when people would be leaving the Rally? Just wondering if anyone from Vancouver want to drive back with me? ![]() |

| 05 MCS BEP | My family and I will be in Kelowna on Sunday. I planned on doing some tours of wineries in the morning and heading back to Vancouver via the Coquihalla highway. We'll probably leave from Kelowna around 2 or 3 in the afternoon. Wanna drive up to Kelowna and meet up? 05MCS BEP - Alta 22mm rear anti-swaybar, Madness CAI, Alta 15%, NGK BRK7EIX |

| 05 MCS BEP | A few things have changed. Since nobody has indicated any preference to meet up in the afternoon in the Vancouver area, I will not be stopping at Guildford Town Centre at 2:00 to drive up to Penticton. My wife took the day off and my kid is out of school for the summer so we can leave earlier. HOWEVER, we can't leave that early as I still have to make it into my office for the morning. It's month end and also a quarter end for me. But I plan on leaving my office around 11:00am. Since I will be driving a wee bit faster and being very cognizant that it's the beginning of a long weekend so the highway speed enforcement guys (and gals) will be out in full force, I will try and catch up to the group that has headed out earlier. Anybody else want to join up with us and drive to Penticton from the Metrotown area around 11:00am? 05MCS BEP - Alta 22mm rear anti-swaybar, Madness CAI, Alta 15%, NGK BRK7EIX |

Offline | Sorry for the somber news, but my friend Gerry Hastings, one of the organizers of the RITV, passed away yesterday. He will certainly be missed. Hope you all have a safe and enjoyable rally this weekend. |

| 05 MCS BEP | I'm totally speechless to this development of events. I guess it will be a bit of a somber event as we would all need to pay some respect to Gerry and his family. Sounds like weather will be good. It's been a bit of a heat wave here in the Vancouver area this week. The heat has caused my refridgerator to break and a window pane (house) to crack this week. It's turning to be an expensive week. 05MCS BEP - Alta 22mm rear anti-swaybar, Madness CAI, Alta 15%, NGK BRK7EIX |

Offline | Faster, Tobias! What happened to you???? Last time we saw you was doing a car wash at Day's Inn on Friday night. There was talk at the ralley that a car had caught fire on the way to the ralley - we were all hoping it wasn't you! For those who couldn't make it, 5 of us met at Munson Mountain and did a convoy to town and up Main St and along the Lakeshore. Lots of head turning! 6 new MINIs and 2 originals and Faster, Tobias! ???? absent! Hot, Hot, Hot Pictures to follow. |
