Attention all Lower Mainland MINI owners,

Here's a notice from the Vancouver Mini Cooper Club:

VMCC Sea To Sky Club Drive (rain or shine)

When: Sunday, April 30th at 9.30am
Where: Meet at Spanish Banks, Vancouver at the parking lot west of the 2nd concession building (Spanish Banks consists of 3 beaches west of Jericho Beach)
To: Squamish. The drive will last approx 3-4 hours, with a lunch break at Squamish.

Equipment: Your MINI with a full tank of gas, two-way radios if you have them, and your MINI enthusiasm!

Come join the Vancouver Mini Cooper Club’s first long club drive of 2006! We will take a winding scenic route from Vancouver to Squamish that will highlight the great handling of the MINI, and some of the best routes in beautiful British Columbia!

This event is open to all New Mini owners in the Lower Mainland – come join us, and hopefully you will join our club - but we need to know how many drivers are showing up, so please email us at eventmanager@vancouverminicooperclub.com to RSVP a spot as soon as possible.

So… join us…and have loads of fun!

bump, just making sure that Vancouver/Lower Mainland MINIacs see this posting - if the great weather we are having here right now lasts till the day of the drive, it is going to be a magnificent one indeed!

Just an update - we now have approx 10 cars for the drive, there's still lots of spaces, so if you live in the Lower Mainland, drive a MINI and are interested in participating - just RSVP and let us know!

As an added incentive - I just checked the weather forecast on www.weathernetwork.com for Vancouver, and the long-range forecast for this Sunday calls for sunshine and no clouds

If you can't make the drive, but can drop by before the start time - feel free to do so, say hi and find out more about the VMCC. We plan to do some activities on a low-key level this year, but if we can get the logistics right, perhaps even a track day event or two (depending on membership participation and help!)

Last update before the weekend, and the drive:

We are up to 14 RSVP's now! And the weather forecast still keeps calling for Sunday to be dry and sunny.

There's still time to RSVP for the drive if you are interested, we can still accomodate a few more MINIs, and if you live in the Lower Mainland and can't commit till the last second, just show up at the start on Sunday, it should still be okay.

The club has made luncheon reservations at a brew pub in Squamish, so bring a healthy appetite (and your wallet along too) if you are joining us.

See you on Sunday!! And whereever you are in the world, MOTOR ON

I was going to go but can't get out until early afternoon....family matters. Unfortunately, the drive would be just about finished so I can't go chasing you all down.

I hear weather for Sunday's drive is going to be fantastic.
