Offline | Week 21 production! It's still a long ways till taking delivery, but I just found out my car has production scheduled for week 21. Awesome! If I am this excited now, I'll probably need to be put in a straightjacket and padded holding cell in the weeks leading upto delivery. Or I can distract myself on the Red Mile, if luck holds up (knocks on wood) Here's what it is: -MCSa -BRG with white roof and bonnet stripes -DSC I suppose the theme of my car is less is more?! (how'd that DSC get in there?) ![]() |

Offline | The delivery date will be sometime between last week of June and first week of July. I'd love to be phoning Craig every other day to see what's happening with it, but I'll try to keep that to a minimum for both our sakes! I have this feeling that there will be a small pile of mods ready to go into it before the car even arrives! i.e. some kind of armrest, CAI, and I'll probably get the front invisi-sheilded farily soon after I take posession, after Mini-Vee's experiences. |

Offline | See that's why as much as I'd like to have customized mine, I couldn't fathom waiting more than 2 weeks. As it was I was dissappointed I couldn't drive it off the lot immediately (but they sure did shine it up nice for me, so I guess that worked out better). I guess it is sort of like getting a pet from the SPCA instead of the pet store. You might not get everything how you imagined, but what you do get grows on you and you can't imagine it any other way. |

Offline | It's funny you should mention SPCA pets as being the best... two of our dogs were from there and you couldn't ask for anything better! Mutts are proven to last longer anyway, only one of the many plusses. Okay I digress, My problem with buying stray MINI's from the lot is that none were BRG. Yes, I am that superficial. But I know they'd all get great homes without my help. Plus I needed some time to build up a down payment. So if I needed time anyway, I might as well order it as I want. But for the next 2 months you'll be driving circles around me on the bus!!! ![]() |

Offline | xtremepsionic, when did you order your car? Since we have pretty close delivery dates, I'd like to compare order dates. Even though they're a year apart, it's still fun to guess. |

Offline | Oh, mine was sitting in a lot rotting in Manitoba for a few months I think. Since no one wanted a Cooper with heated seats and cruise control, but no sunroof. Strange taste I have, isn't it. I think the production date was actually something like, October 2004. Took them like 2 weeks to ship it to Calgary. Unlike you, I didn't have the patience to wait, and I didn't want a Black on Black Mini they had in stock, and don't need a MCS (which they had quite a few). |

Offline | According to W&W site, my car was loaded onto the Titus at 1:30pm yesterday in Southampton. Seems like things might be a week ahead of schedule?! Calgary's got a fever... and the cure... is more BRG! ![]() |

Offline | When your car gets to the Calgary Train lot. Let me know I can take you over there and personally introduce you to the security guards there. They have a pic of me and our truck on the wall as shady people who keep driving by looking for a green MINI. ![]() |

Offline | Holy fast ship batman... I was under the impression it was 10-15 days for crossing the Atlantic... but looking at the picture below, it seems much shorter, actual transit time more like 5 or 6. Does that 10-15 include the time it sits at the pier at either end too? |

Offline | Crossing time is typically about 7 days, unless you happen to be on a ship that goes to NY and Baltimore first ( ). And yeah, once you hit port in Halifax, I think you're looking at about 2 weeks to get to Calgary (process at customs, get on the train etc.)Edit: Nice to see that Sailx is working again. It was off-line during Sheamus' voyage. ![]() www.MINICalgary.com |

Offline | Yup, pretty much. It's better to give the longest possible time than the shortest and reduce your anxiety should there be delays! Also saves you having to 'phone me to ask 'is it there yet? Is it there yet?' ![]() |

Offline | Well, the car just rolled off the ship in Halifax today. 2 weeks and it's here at the trainyards MiniVee? I'll see if I can get my picture posted next to yours at the security desk down there. I'd better "get in gear" (even though it's MCSa -- get it? ha.) and get Insurance, financing and get the CAI on order! |
