There is a reason why I chose my moniker

Right now I think I'm leaning towards eliminating the CR/W option and narrowing it down to the HB/B vs. AB/B. The CR/W is the one my wife likes least, as it contains her two least favourite colours, and although it is a combination that makes me smile, it is also a combination that I never like as much in person as I do in pictures.

So now I'm thinking of maybe doing AB/B with a GP-esque decal around the hood scoop and CR mirror caps (one of the other threads got me thinking of that!) or HB/B with white or black bonnet stripes (or maybe viper stripes in black with white border.... hmmm... that might work). And of course, would the HB/B look good with tint? What about the AB/B? It would, but might be too dark...

Yep. I have mini madness. Goddammit. I hope there's a cure

Meanwhile, is there a good photoshop artist around here to help me play? And more importantly, will there be any Calgary driving events this winter? Unfortunately I can't make it into town for the weekend drive... I have to be at a wedding in Edmonton!

Maybe we should try to get together once a month like last winter ...

Insanity update: I'm now down to deciding between HB/B (Car #9) and AB/B (Car #18)... both great numbers, too!

No colour bias there Bok?

BTW, did the SOHO come with the chrome mirror caps? Those look pretty smart!

the chrome mirror caps are the only chrome-line exterior piece that Soho didn't come with...but the fine folks at Crowfoot made it work since the promo material didn't mention Chomeline exterior (*minus mirror caps) when the material first came out....and i think they were tired of hearing from me at that point

I love those fine folks at Crowfoot Mini, which is another reason to choose the blue car over the black one! I am sure that they would arrange to make sure my car is just the way I would like it too. Particularly if it means they get to stop hearing from me

Would that "second car" happen to be #44?

#44 is a pretty good number!

Too bad we don't have any forum members in the East... I'd love for someone to get a shot of these cars... I'm quite impatient.

Now if only my autotrader ad would appear so I can get rid of my current ride...

I know it is a car Mike is waiting for, and I believe he only has one Comp. Edition customer... and they are due in the Alyth train yards at 3.15pm, September 1st How CN can be so precise I wouldn't know.

Stickman is in Ontario, and has said he will post pics.

That's great info... thanks Faster! Now I just hope that my ad shows up in the 'Trader soon and that people start calling. I'm getting more excited by the day! Reading about the weekend fun-run really doesn't help keep the excitement at bay, either.Stickman, please see if you can get some pictures of as many different colour CP cars as you can! If the cars are going to be in Calgary around the 1st, they should be in TO at any time now, shouldn't they?

No pics yet, mGP. Hoepfully Stickman can provide us with some soon... he'll likely be the first of us to receive one, as the trains roll from East to West. I'm pretty sure they won't be anywhere near as pretty as the GP, though. I still don't understand why we weren't allowed to get those!

Kudos to Mike @ Crowfoot for the #, he dealer traded just to get me that.

You are starting the sale process a bit late. I have had my SVT out there for three weeks now and still no sale. Getting annoyed as my wife stipulated we don't need three vehicles and if we purchase the JCW CP the SVT must go.

The car was actually supposed to be in the trader last week, but apparently when they say 'Tuesday cut-off' they mean 'Monday cut-off', since I put it in on Tuesday and there was no sign of the ad. I was going to put it in earlier, but the loving marital unit forbade me to do anything related to car sales or acquisition until after our recent nuptuals

Don't suppose I could interest you in a lightly used Carrera in addition to the JCW

Only if it is Lapis Blue on Black and you take the SVT Contour in trade.

I think the Contour may be the dealbreaker Good luck to both of us... all three if you count Faster... who need to get out of cars in a hurry! I'm just hoping that my car is on the second train and that the second train takes a little while to get out here...

BTW, if you ever do get the urge to buy a Porsche, I highly recommend getting a 1:18th model instead... almost as pretty and way easier to keep up! I'm looking forward to being back in a car where I don't have to worry about $200 oil changes and $2000 tire swaps Not to mention one that I don't feel guilty about parking in public places...

Yes, Craig is in there too.

LOL! My 1:18 E46 M3 has given me nothing but joy. Aside from the odd swiffer dusting I have tallied $0.00 in maintenance.
