Offline | JCW Competition Package Roll Call For those who have placed deposits on a Competition Package, which number of the 64 units are you? BMW Corporate apparently has one through four. I'll be 44/64 as a Chili Red with leatherette and anthracite trim. Last edited by I Am Canadian : Sep 17th, 2006 at 09:09 PM. |

Offline | Still trying to find out my number... Should we also post which colour combinations we're getting and where the cars are going? I'm curious to see if there's any pattern to the numbering... |

Offline | I.A.C - If you got your car out of Edmonton, your number would be 24 of 64. 22 and 23 are Calgary cars. Happily I can now announce, now the car is secured, number 12. It is also a Chili Red, white roof. I wanted a car without premium package and the only one ordered in the country belonged to MINI Brossard, so we had to secure a dealer trade to get it. Now, about Tobias.... p.s that makes three of 64. Plus five for MINI, 8. Where are the other 56 owners? |

Your roof will look way better than mine without the sunroof. I'm surprised a non-premium package car was so hard to find. Can you tell us what the colors/specs are on MINI's five units? I'm curious to learn how Chili Red stacks up against the other two choices. During my search for the right car and right deal here in Western Canada, I discovered that the majority of Competition Package cars were Astro Black. And of all the units, only one was spec'd with cloth. Cheers, |

Offline | MINI kept four units, and 2 are CR, 1 HB and 1 AB. All have cloth interiors and Alloy Patina dash. Of the sixty in dealers hands; Astro Black - 26 Units, Chili Red - 23, Hyper Blue - 11 Leatherette - 55, Cloth - 5 Premium Package - 58, No Premium - 2 which, for those keeping score, would make the rarest car a HB w/ cloth and no premium but I haven't taken into account the roof factor or the dash (alloy patina vs. anthracite) |

Offline | Good stuff! Looking extra exclusive for mr. abulia. I don't think there exists a "roof factor" as far as I was aware there exists no choice for each of the three exterior colors. CR/W, HB/B, and Astro/Body Color. What did you get for interior trim? And tell me, what are the details on your unit #22? |

Offline | You can get the HB with a white or black roof. At a glance, black is the more numerous. #12 has the leatherette, and # 22 is a near twin to it, being CR, leatherette, anthracite |

Offline | For clarity, the MINI Canada spec sheet clearly states black roof "Only with and mandatory for Hyper Blue." Maybe they changed it. Thanks for the color breakdown. |

Offline | Congrats on securing the car, Craig! I'm glad you got it. I'm sure you'll find Tobias a good home. The rundown is pretty darn interesting. I'm surprised that the Astro Black is the most common colour: I would have counted on red/white having that honour. Oh well. Any news on what BMW is planning for the 4 units they are holding onto? -Mr. Abulia P.S. I didn't have a chance to stop by again last week; pre-wedding stuff took way too much time. It looks like I'll have to wait until the Competition cars come in before I can test it and make up my mind... |

Offline | Not sure which number is allocated for me. My dealer informed me that I would be kept informed as to build date, shipping date, global positioning statistics, arrival date, delivery date etc. etc. etc. Have not heard word one since placing the order. BTW mine is Chili Red/premium/anthracite coming from MINI Durham in Ontario. |

Offline | With a white roof - number 29. abulia, I don't know which dealership in Vancouver yours is coming from, but those marked sold at Yaletown and Richmond are #'s 45, 31, 20, & 18. What colour is yours? |

Offline | You're a good man for providing this information. Makes the wait easier for some. As you may know, I am no longer #23. M.B. has kindly secured me 44/64. Is Crowfoot's allocation sold now? |

Offline | I should still have my deposit on an astro black car with Yaletown. I'm toying with looking for a red/white one, though. It's tough, since neither are anywhere close to my fave mini combinations (pepper white/black, electric blue/white and dark silver/black. Actually, the two colours I previously swore I'd never have in a car again were black and red! Damn you, BMW.... damn you!) I'm really going to have to drive this car before I make up my mind... I'm planning on calling the showroom tomorrow to find out what the ETA on the car is, and see if they know the VIN/series number. Then I just have to get my car sale sorted... let me know if you find someone looking for a good used Porker ![]() |

Offline | Yes, all 5 of ours were gone two weeks ago. And we acquired a sixth from Mini Brossard. Welcome to Oil Town! The cars are now in Halifax, by the way... |

Offline | The cars have been in Halifax since the 8th, but have yet to board a train. There was a similar delay when the Rallye and Soho cars arrived, as being unique to Canada the badging was added once they reached our shores. Other than being told the JCW's will have 'special badging and decals', I don't know exactly what this comprises. |
