Offline | thank goodness that is over... well somewhere around 10am today near sparwood my Run-in period was over. Not a record by any stretch of the imagination, but 2500kms since last Wednesday evening is still respectable i reckon, and now it's time to mod and drive in a "spirited fashion" Cheers! |

Offline | the ride was very nice. sometimes difficult to keep it under 4500rpms while climbing in the mountains and such, but it was really a treat. I got sooo many looks from people at stop lights and one old fellow in Cour d lain turned off his motorcycle to have a chat with us while we waited for the light to turn. The Canadian Border guy asked if he could take it for a spin and when we stopped for the night in Fernie, the desk clerk asked all sorts of questions. the seats were comfortable, the sound system with the iPod interface was great, the AC worked like a charm since it was about 37 or so in the Spokane area. The boot had more than enough space for the two of us to take what we needed for a few days away and we still had the whole back seat we could have filled up. I think even with trying to vary my speed i was still the front runner in most packs of vehicles and the twisty roads were where i really pulled ahead of some drivers. If anyone ever tries to decide between the Cooper and the S, i can say that the Cooper is more than capable. I'm glad i went with the Cooper now....but we shall see what i feel like with a new air intake and engine remap PS. The only problem i had with the MINI was the first fill up. Craig never explained that the doors had to be unlocked for the fuel door to open so i spent a few moments looking for a fuel door release. and then taking the cap off i kept trying to spin it....luckily i am used to motorcycles or I'd have been there all night trying to get it unscrewed hahah |

Offline | Ha. You see that really thick book there, yeah, that one in the glovebox, yea, they call that the handbook. No, no, it isn't a coaster for the coffee table, you have to READ IT!! I'll forgive you - obviously you shouldn't read while driving, and it sounds like that is all you have done since last Wednesday ![]() |

Offline | I've got one listed in the Market Place section: Cooper S Exhaust I would imagine it wouldn't be too hard to hook up for someone who knew their way around an exhaust -- there's a few guys on MINI2 that have a Cooper with an 'S' exhaust. You also would need to buy a new rear valance trim piece with the cutout in the middle. ![]() www.MINICalgary.com |

Offline | No thanks. With all the mtn driving I do, I appreciate having the spare tire under the car. Although, Kind of mute at the moment since I have RF on unless I was to kill a rim like I did last year. |

| 05 MCS BEP | My experience was that once the car is broken in, you'll notice a bit of an increase in fuel mileage as well as the engine just wants to spin/rev more Have you found the rev limiter/fuel cut off yet ? 05MCS BEP - Alta 22mm rear anti-swaybar, Madness CAI, Alta 15%, NGK BRK7EIX |

Offline | the PFM are the way the elitist Soho drivers wave to other MINI owners with the push of a button. ![]() there is a small button (the size of the selector switch for left and right mirror adjustment) right by the adjuster that you press once and the mirrors fold in to the side, press it again and they go back to normal position. if you press it twice fairly close together they give a nice little wave ![]() i'm sure this would be handy in an H3 or something where parking in tight spaces is impossible, but with the MINI it's probably not a huge thing although it does let you snug the MINI into the garage a lot easier if you have to |
