3M Film

Hello!
I am thinking of getting the 3M film for my mini. Where do you think I should get it at? I went to Shadow Tinting's website and they sell the hood and the bumper kit separately. Do you think its wise to get both? Please help~~~~

It is wise to get both! I wish I'd had it on my current car before the rocks ate away all my paint.
I'm not sure where the best place to get it is. The dealership charges $895 installed, but I'm pretty sure there has to be someplace that will charge much less. You may also want to consider getting your mirrors done.

I want some small bits of that stuff for behind my door handles. I can already see a few minor scratches back there from rings etc... I'm not sure how well it would work in that tight of a concave area though.

I wish I had all your worries ... when you travel Deerfoot everyday, trust me 3M isn't going to stop the bullets. The bullets bounce off of city trucks and go right through everything ... 3M, hood decals, paint and then dint the metal ...

Here I go again ... trust me ... Duct Tape is the ONLY way to go ...

Driving is Everything ... Anything else is just waiting around ...

I wish ... most of the vinyl is covering up all the door dings and bullet holes already there.

My car travels deerfoot every day also from Beddington to Peigan if you can believe it.
I'm on my 3rd windshield, and have 1 bullet mark in the front of the hood that missed the 3M. Besides that the 3M has taken all of the punishment.

I have the hood/bumper, roof (above the windshield) and mirror caps all done with 3M.
Mini crowfoot had it done for me before I picked up the car. It is very thick 3M, thicker than many of the kits out there.

With that being said, I highly recommend shadow tinting. They have done work on most of my cars in the past.

I'll be sending my "new" car there when it arrives.

$895 for the full kit is too high. I was quited $425 here in E-town for hood, bumper, and mirrors. Shop around.

No, not to replace the MINI. It will stay til the end of the lease.
Nothing exciting either. Just a 330xi I'm importing from the U.S. to add to the stable.
The Land Rover may or may not be kicked out of the garage. The v8 gets brutal gas mileage.

I would rather buy your porsche, but out of my price range.

For my next car, 3M film installation will probably be one of the first thing I will have installed. It is too late now, but rock chips are happening far too often on our crappy roads!! And on a black car they are driving me crazy!

Speaking of 3M films, I don't want to SPAM this thread but I have a brand new set of MOSS Mini Xpel (3M) Clear Protective Light Shields for sale.

If someone is interested, I am not going to use them (not enough highway driving). I am located in Montreal and would be willing to part with it for a good price!
