My 2002 Cooper is suffering from the vibrating muffler syndrome (a.k.a. your muffler is beginning to rust inside out). I was planning to live through the winter with it, but it's starting to drive me crazy!

I know a great place called Bimmershop but they are located in Dorion. Would you have other shops to recommend within Montreal ?

I was thinking about a Milltek exhaust but they do not seem to have any resellers in Montreal (I will have to inquire with them).

Have you been to Bimmershop? How is this shop? I want to find a shop to unmount all-season tires and re-mount a set of winter tires. Don't want my wheels to be damaged by unskilled workers since I just have them for 2 weeks. I don't mind driving 44 km because still under run-in period

Yes, I really recommend Bimmershop! It's been recommended to me by a fellow Canadian Cooper S driver and I am planning to have my Cooper serviced by them after the warranty ends in 2007.

If you want to wait while Sebastien does the job, you can sit in a couch in his shop and watch him work on your car.

Of course it's a small shop operated by two or three people, but Sebastien is a skilled mechanic with loads of racetrack/performance experience.

The only downside is that they are far from Montreal

By the way, aren't you worried of damaging your wheels during the winter ?
