Well, there is yet another New Mini in Cowtown thanks to Faster Tobias !!!!

2006 Pure Silver Metalic Mini Cooper SOHO....

Picked up yesterday, spent last night reading the manual so I wouldn't be held hostage by her...

Here's a couple pictures with Big Brother taken this morning...

Well, I'm not one to name my cars but if I were to, I'd call Him Harry and then I'd call the 993 Sally (as in the movie Cars), so the pictures would be titled When Harry met Sally...

Man, that MINI looks pretty big compared to the 911! So I suppose your new MINI is a daily driver/winter car?

The Mini will be my daily driver/winter car/solo 2 car in the summer.....

Compared to the 993 the Mini looks huge !!! I'm trying to resist but I've already started the wish/xmas list for the Cooper .....Springs, 18" wheels, clear side markers....It's a terrible disease but I can't seem to leave my cars alone without changing it to be my own....I thought just getting a Cooper instead of a S, I'd be safe but it doesn't look so....

Another "old" friend coming by to say "Hello". In your garage, the Mini should actually be called the "Maxi". It's surprisingly HUGE!

Actually, I was talking to Mike a couple of days ago and he told me about this forum and that you had a picture of your new Mini posted. I was on another Mini forum just for info, but I figure if this one has more locals on it, I'd come here.
I've been doing homework on my next "run around" car. It's either going to be the new gasoline Smart (2008) or the next gen Mini.

BTW, anyone know when the next Mini is scheduled to arrive here?

I think they were due to arrive late Feb or early March but Faster will know for sure. Better get your order in soon they'll probably go quickly!

So, what you're saying is other than the 6 already coming, only 6 more can be ordered in one form or another? You are allowed a total of 12 cars for the whole model year? I am astonished that a dealership can maintain business selling only 12 cars a year. What am I missing here. Any other dealership would sell that many cars in a week or a month.

What? That would make 18 cars for 2007, and you are right, we couldn't keep the doors open !!

We are getting six cars out of December production and twelve cars refers to the number we are allocated out of January production. After that I hope things normalize with regard to monthly allotment.
