Just checking out events for 2007. Rally in the Valley, an all British Car Show , is in Kelowna, BC this year July 6-8. I do not know if we will attend. We prefer the Penticton venue because, historically, you were trapped at the show for the duration in Kelowna. Yes, I love to look at the cars but I also need to do other stuff, like shop and eat. They seem to be shaking things up this year with the show running from 4-8 PM and tech sessions during the day as well as a drive.

Yes, I believe the chief engineer for the Miata studied for a couple of months at Oxford back in the early 80's ... or was that the Toyota Echo???

On the last day of last years Rally there were a number of Miata's that attended the autocross. I think one of the organisers may also be a Miata enthiusiast. That and the Miata as often been thought of as the successer to the MG/Triumph roadster mantle. IMHO.

I'll be there with a few other Minis from around the Valley. I'd love to get an all Mini meet together for a nice weekend cruise

What's next, a WRX because Richard Burns won the WRC title with it and he is british?

I think the new MINI is already a bit of a stretch being called a British car, the Miata definitely shouldn't qualify.
