Canada Targa Newfoundland 2006 TV special

Here's a heads up. Clear your calenders!

The Targa Newfoundland 2006 Documentary will be broadcast on Global TV next week Saturday (January 27th) at 9pm local time.

Remember, MINI won the "unlimited" class for the second year in a row with a factory JCW Cooper S.

BTW, I wonder if they will have any footage of the MINI USA "incident"....

What do you figure, 1 hour? I programmed my PVR for it.
If the recording is any good I can post it for download.

I would think so. Last year was one hour. I'll be recording it also.

I've still got last year's.

Mine is an old ATI TV tuner so it'ts on my computer... Sorry, no commercial stripping here.

MiniVee, how big is it? Can / would you mind sharing?

I captured mine with a TV Tuner also. I think the file is about 700-ish Megs.

Any suggestions?

I could give you a userid and password if you could upload it... Then I could copy it somwhere public for others to download.

I'm not sure how much disk or bandwidth SD has... Bok? Could SD host it? If not, I can.

If you want to share a big file like that then use a bit torrent. It will greatly reduce any load on a server, and make it easy for all to get.

My recording didn't work, and I only caught the last 10 minutes.

Just watched it on the PVR. Not much coverage of the Canadian MINI entry, they must have figured it was going to win anyway... They did show the MINI USA entry crashing into the ditch a few times.

Still enjoyable to watch though, from a ralleying perspective

Won't they give Jim Kenzie a R56 to drive? That would be a coup, winning a third time but in the new model.

Targa Cars

You would hope so but you never can tell when MINI Canada are involved. Jim's car sits here doing nothing for most of the year so they may not fund an R56, who know's though.... I'm secretly hoping they part the US car out as I fancy the spoiler off it. If I hear any rumours about this year's Rally plans I will let you know.
