Offline | Aaargh! Looks like I'll need the services of an autobody shop. Someone ran into my parked car last night, and didn't even have the courtesy to stop and own up to it. Neighbors spotted damage and came over to alert me. I was even home at the time!!! I'm not even sure how you get this damage pattern by hitting a parked car, no other cars had corresponding damage pattern on them on my cul-de sac so my guess is it was a dipturd non-local in some vehicle with high white bumpers doing a 3-point u-turn (without using mirrors of course) ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Offline | Oh man, that sucks! Some people can be such a-holes. And its not like you wouldn't notice a hit like that.Looks like you'll likely be needing a new bonnet (expensive, but they'll never fix that properly otherwise) and a new bumper cover as well as the trim. I highly recommend Maranello, as they've done excellent work for me in the past. However, they book a long time in advance, so call them quick. Silver lining: No more rock chips! ![]() www.MINICalgary.com |

Offline | I gave Maranello's a call, I'm going to bring it by sometime this week. Thanks for the reccomendations. It just feels like this is going to be expensive. Maybe it won't look as bad if I jury rig the reflector trim back up and clean off some of the dirt, etc... |

Offline | Maybe I can use this opportunity to get some aero kit pieces on my car. Does anyone know suppliers of just the aero bumper (and side skirts)? To anyone who has retrofitted one, does the aero bumper also come with the black plastic trim pieces that hold the orange reflectors? This could be a convenient fix, then all that's left is the hood. I've had fleeting visions of a BRG painted CF hood, but has anyone actually painted one? What does it turn out like? I've seen suppliers of the CF hoods and pricing, if the OEM hood pricing comes close, the CF may be something I'd look into.... In all honesty I haven't been to Maranellos yet, so I have no idea pricing on anything yet. |
