Some of the best twisty bits in BC:
(ratings from 1 to 10, 10 being best)
All of the roads listed below are twisty enough that if you drive briskly will throw any loose objects around in the car :P
Creston to Kooteney bay - Pavement 9, twistiness 8.5, traffic 6 (could be heavy at times)
New Denver to Kaslo (my new favorite road in Canada, a true unused gem of a road) - Pavement 9, twistiness 9, traffic 8.5
Needles to Lumby - Pavement 6.5, twistiness 9, traffic 8
Lilloeet to Pemberton Pavement 6, twistiness 8.5, traffic 7.5
Port Alberni to Tofino - Pavement 6.5, twistiness 8, traffic 6.5 (this road is used quite a bit)
Hope to Princeton - Pavement 9, twistiness 6.5, traffic 7 (not verrrry twisty, great scenery and fun if you go really fast)
Apex Mountain road near Penticton Pavement 8.5, twistness 8.5, traffic 9 (no one really uses this road in the summer)
Grand Forks to Osoyoos - Pavement 8.5, twistiness 7.5, traffic 8
I highly, strongly, definitely recommend anyone travelling between Calgary and Vancouver to try some of these roads instead of driving on Highway 1. Add a night sleep over in Penticton or something, and try some of these roads. For me they MAKE the trip instead of making driving a chore. You've got a MINI, don't waste it
