Pumpkin Run

Hello Everyone

I would just like to know if there is interest in heading back out on the road this weekend,(Sunday Oct 21).

My thoughts were to head out along Hwy 8 to Hwy 22 through Bragg Creek then south on Hwy 762 to Hwy 549 enroute to Millarville. We could then proceed south on Hwy 22 to Turner Valley then out along Hwy 7 through Black Diamond to Okotoks, if time permits we could take a side trip to Longview.

I was really hoping to locate a pumpkin farm along the route but no luck and the Millarville market is closed for the season. We could meet at the Calgary Farmers Market and get a pumpkin before heading out, unforutnately this is not quite the same . If there is interest in the market idea, I can contact the market to see if we could get a parking spot, have my doubts but no harm asking, if we are lucky maybe we could get a visible place to park (but I would need an approximate car count by Friday), unless of course someone is aware of a well hidden pumpkin patch.

Thought we could stop at the Big Rock for a photo op and then at the "George" in Okotoks for a libation and small snack before heading back into town, please make suggestions of other good photo op places, maybe we can get a good shot for this year's calendar.

I will leave the start time until later this week once we get some feedback.

Too bad I live in Vancouver. I would have loved to have joined you. I've tried to get a run started a few times with no luck. We have several pumpkin farms as well as a couple of haunted houses to visit in the area. Maybe Velveteen_MINI will go out on her own again. With the skeleton strapped into the back seat of course.

Hello Again

Lets meet up at the small parking lot next to the Wild Rose Brewery (see map) at 12:00 and then set off at 12:45. We will be there at 11:55 to scoop the best pumpkin at the market.

I hope this time works for everyone otherwise let me know.

The forecast is for a Sunny day and 11ºC, so it would be great if we can get a good turnout.

I knew the '07's were quicker than the early versions of the 'S', but I didn't know about the time travel! Damn, that's cool

Thanks for the run Morten. Fun for a few of us today eh?

And how about the ticket that the rice rocket is going to be getting ... must have blown by me doing 170. Oops.

Anyway, see I proved it to all you guys - you too can still be going out for Sunday runs even after you've owned and driven your car for four and a half years! Well those of you (like me) who don't have lives that is ...
