If any one knows when it will be televised a heads up would be appreciated..

I'm starting to feel like a one man forum

Seems like the only participants on this Cdn forum are from Calgary. Hope when i do get a Mini that more goes on with the Mini community than just in Calgary.

It is usually televised around January or so. The last two years, it was carried on Global. Last year, there wasn't much TV footage of the winning MINI Canada entry, even though they won twice in a row in the Unlimited class. They did show MINI USA putting their MINI in the ditch though...

The best televised Targa NFLD was 2 years ago (Targa '05), IMHO. I've still got that one captured on my PVR somewhere.

I've been competing in Targa Nfld since 2003. In 2003 and 2004 in a '73 BMW 2002tii and in '05, '06, and '07 in a '74 BMW 2002tii.

I met the President of Mini Canada at the event in '06 and he had brought his personal Mini Cooper S w/ JCW Package car to the event (Mini was the Featured Marque). After talking to him that week and discussing the Competition Edition that Mini Canada had just launched, I bought one the day after I got back from Newfoundland! Race on Sunday, Sell on Monday!
